    Afterparty?

Remember how there used to be afterparties with the players, coaches, and cheerleaders after home games at jack astor's or shoeless Joe's back in the day?

Do they still do that? If so, where? I havent been to a game in a while so I dont know the latest. Thanks!

The best ones were at Joe Baldaliā€™s back in the day. Still find drink tickets from time to time in boxes of old mementos.

I remember the brief time that the official after party was at Frank D'Angelo's "Forget About It" supper club - because he was a paid sponsor and insisted - and after one time, the players refused to go there any more.

    .

I went to William's landing after the game with my wife. Good music, food, and lots of beautiful people. It wasnt as good as it used to be. There were a few tables of Argo fans, but the team (and I use that term loosely) was off in a different section. I saw Anthony Woodson, Frank Beltre, Jim Popp, and a few of the cheerleaders (in civies). Woodson, Popp and Beltre said hello as they were passing by. Not many players and very little mingling with the fans. I got to meet Hogie, though, and he was a really nice guy and generous with his time.

I remember the afterparties at Jack Astors on front st. Win or lose, most of the players and coaches and even team presidents at times made an appearance and spent time talking and taking pictures with the fans. Even the opposing teams' players and some sports journalists would show up. It's one of the reasons I came to love going to games, and the friends i brought with me were usually blown away by it.

At Saturdays afterparty, i couldn't help but look around at the bar patrons and think "isn't this the young, rich, and good looking liberty village crowd that the team is trying to draw in? Why wouldnt they throw a big jack astors-style afterparty and try to get some of these people interested in going to the game?" Missed opportunity, unfortunately.

If a town hall ever does happen, one of you might bring this up.

I thought the Town Hall happened at The Shipyard before the season started.
