Both playoffs games ended well, but were boring for 55 minutes of the game.
I find this season the worst yet. Too many blowouts, and if they're not blowouts it's games like the Blackreds and Ticats today. I pay quite a bit of money for my Leafs, Rock, Argos, and Ticats season tickets, along with going to the Honda Indy annually, but I find the CFL the least entertaining. And to me that says a lot, because for years I didn't miss one CFL game; now I miss them all the time and frankly don't care. Heck, I've fallen asleep a couple of times at live games (Today at Tim Hortons and a couple of years ago at BMO).
As I and many have previously commented this season (so far) has the similar stench of 2016 which was a low point in my 40+ years as an Argo fan.
However league wide the majority of the games have been lacking in entertainment value.
Big issue for me is the subpar officiating (which often leads to game changing results) which has been an issue for several seasons without being addressed by the league.
Expanded NFL rosters have also had an impact on the overall talent level which could get worse with the new league starting.

I have been finding the games less engaging during the regular season for a few years now.
I still find the playoffs exciting generally though.
And aside from last night's game, I do find that the officiating is at least less intrusive into the games than it has been over the past few seasons.
i too think skydome was a much better venue than bmo field - john candy was a very good shot in the arm - too bad he is gone
...
the marketing types will never understand that marketing wont bring fans back
the argos/cfl need to be perceived as being as being 'top tier' again
i think the cfl lost fans w/ all that black out nonsense
then jays showed up, then the raptors and the perception, especially by many football fans under 40, that nfl is the way to go
yes, the argos did get screwed by baseball/jays re not playing in skydome
home game in ft mcmurray ? very bush league
ottawa has no team, then years later it does - bush league
seems talks to get a team in halifax are stalling - bush league
different surface in one end zone and 17 yd end zones and commish knew about this last yr !!!! - very bush league
[i still think buono would have made a much better commish than ambroise]
argos now need a dynasty of success and i think that will help bring fans back instead of venues and marketing
like the eskimos won 5 gc in a row
visiting teams need to be afraid of playing the argos
but still no excuse for the argos to not draw at least 30k or move argos to halifax, the logo is already set [scullers]

The stupidity is back on this site. Time for another break.
It's us vs the rest of the country
This thread is intended for discussions of the game on Friday.
Any further griping about attendance should be in a different thread altogether.

This defensive coaching brain-trust has no excuse for continuing to trot out & start, total non-impact / do nothing defenders like Troy Davis at DE and Kanneh in the D-backfield; changes are needed - both in some personnel, but also in D coaching smarts. The Argo D is about worst in the league; which goes just fine I guess with a worst in the league offence. Brutal.
