my remedial arithmetic says 17k is larger than 10k
u cannot dismiss the large crowds at skydome only a few yrs ago

From my contact who worked at Rogers Centre back then, In 2014 and 2015 they had some crowds reported 14-15K and well under 10K in actual attendance. Plus they had more comps in their figures as well.

Prior to 2014 they were higher than today but that's when the bottom really started to fall off (botched Braley sale to MLSE). It's been a step forward and a step back ever since but they've haven't had the same ownership and management for more than a season at a time since the move to BMO. Last year was a lame duck years for the Copeland - Moore regime

No shows are pretty common but 5K missing does seem like allot.

I think I know the game you are referring to. It was the Monday home game after the argos had their first ever BMO game and the media went nuts that the argos drew 12k for the second game. However, I recall reading somewhere Copeland saying that that 12k game was one of their largest revenue generators in the past x many years. Wish I had a source for this than just my memory. Anyway, I think the argos have been generating more revenue at BMO than what the announced attendance would suggest.

5K no shows is a lot. However, for a lousy team, star QB hurt, it is very easy to find other things to do on a nice summer day. Plus the 4pm kickoff is a terrible time to hold a game in my opinion.

This is a great example of how hardcores can be out of touch with reality. Do you really think anyone who isn't buying a ticket would suddenly buy one because the end zones got increased by 3 yards and became all grass?

Godfather, I recall Copeland saying the same thing after that Ottawa game. I believe that the Argos are actually generating far more revenue at BMO Field than they did in their final years at SkyDome.

When someone posts that they are having fun at watching the Argos as a "train wreck", it raises the question of their commitment and/or loyalty to the team. Try the same disrespect on the TFC site and see how long before you are banned.

It is quite acceptable to question the team's play, coach's decisions, the support or lack of, from the fans but to mock the team this way, apparently taking delight in the team's misfortunes, really should be a no go.

Yeah I struggle to understand the point really. Taking the time and effort to register on the site only to effectively cheer against the franchise.Anyhow, like others have said, questioning the team’s on-field play is one thing (and there are just a few questions this year) but basically cheering against the franchise directly on this board? Odd to say the least.
