GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
this is a very good chance for the argos to [if they play hard and don't let up] get a win vs als
.
let's not forget what happened to calgary v ssk this past weekend
This game scares me, to be honest. I mean, the Argos should win. Montreal is a train wreck. But this is a crazy league and I keep getting this sick feeling that it will be this week that Montreal decides to show up... kind of like they did against Saskatchewan in Regina. As much maligned as the Alouettes are, they are still professionals and must be seething inside with how the season has gone. I hope we come out from the first whistle and play smart disciplined football in all three phases. Also hope Bear Woods makes his debut. That would be a huge boost.
martese jackson will hopefully have another great game returning kicks giving macbeth good field position
taking the ball at 35 after other team score FG is a very good coaching decision, especially as weather worsens with summertime almost gone
argos gotta put their foot on throats of als and not let up until final whistle
It's us vs the rest of the country
Unfortunately they won't get a practice day in tomorrow with the thunderstorms planned for downtown Toronto.
Will be nice weather in Mtl this Friday for the game however.
I believe Tyrell Sutton injured a knee and could be out a while.
I predict if we win, and we darn well should, it will be in typical Argos fashion. We will let the Als go ahead by a possession or two before we struggle out a win in hilariously absurd fashion. I lose another four hours off my life due to the heart problems caused by cheering for this team and that's another Argos game folks.
Like everyone else, I think the Argos should win. However, they would help themselves greatly if they can get going early in the first half, unlike the last two games, as letting a very weak underdog think they have a chance of winning because you are not doing well in the early going often leads to disaster as it starts believing they have a good chance at an upset.
Johnny Le Football is gonna have a breakout game at some point this season, and I sure hope it isn't on Friday.
Manziel not in practice today, seems unlikely he'll play since there are only two practices for the Als this week.
I just got a email about a viewing party at real sports for season ticket holders.... for this Fridays game.... might want to check your mail .... if your interested... Sounds like could be a good time... and a nice gesture by the team.... Go ARRGOS
Got the email too. Wish I could go but,,work. It also says up to 3 guests and everyone gets a free drink. For anyone that's never been, Real Sports has a huge screen (with volume) and good but expensive chicken wings. Have to RSVP by Wednesday. I would recommend to all and it's cool the Argos are getting a presence there.
We won't be able to make it as well, but really encourage all that can make it do so! Maybe with a good turnout, they will continue activities like this throughout the year going forward - especially for season openers, Labour Day game, playoffs, etc. Hopefully there is a great turnout!
I'll be at Real Sports on Friday.
I was hoping to go to Montreal, but have to work Saturday morning.

I'd go but my weekend plans are still in the air about heading to the cottage weather dependent.
I was hoping Manziel would start. We could use the picks and dropped balls. Watching other players taunt him is pretty entertaining, too. I can't believe people were implying he would simply walk into the CFL and destroy the league.
Suttons replacement at RB is 233lb William Stanback, he could be in tough against a Toronto defence that is suddenly tough against the run.. Pipkin should be contained by the Argos improved secondary. I read that Mike Reilly was roughed up Saturday night, but Montreal still gave up 536 yards defensively.
Argos really should win handily.
Hope he can play.
Bear Woods Update: After back surgery and re-shaping his body, Bear Woods practised full go for the first time in months last week. He made an INT, then fell and broke his left hand. Woods is practising in a cast and hasn’t yet ruled out playing this week with a club #CFL #Argos
