I feel like the short weeks fly in the face of Randy's player safety movement with the additional bye week(s) but other than that, i'll take the friday and satruday night home games vs. the monday - tuesday - wednesday games we used to endure.

Short weeks are impossible to avoid in a league that regularly plays on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The contortions required to ensure teams that play Saturday never play the following Thursday would be next to impossible, especially given that there are only four (or three) games per week. Even if they tried to make sure that one Thursday team is coming off a bye, that still leaves one that isn't (and would shorten the bye period to less than two full weeks between games).

I fully admit, the 7 pm starts will make for a very late night by the time I get home, but other than that I can't complain. But boy, do I miss 1 o''clock kickoffs on weekends, especially when the Argos played regular season games on Sundays.

I like the afternoon games in the fall when the cooler weather starts. But, hopefully the summer evening games will help fill up the East Side stands where the hot summer sunny days can make one thing they're in a sauna.
The first year the Argos moved to BMO field I didn't buy seasons but bought each game separately and sat in different seats on both sides. I still start to sweat when I thing of that hot August afternoon on the East Side. I crossed that off my new seat list very quickly.

4PM Kickoffs on Saturdays or Sundays are our favourite. It gives time for pregame and postgame activities without having to leave early or return late. It's also allows families to bring young children.

I went through the schedule so I could mark them in my calendar.

I think the league and team has set themselves up for some big television numbers. Looks like it. Also like the holiday games for them. Can we please have the team do its part this year?

    time change is nov 3
remove 2 bye weeks [helps tsn not bump cfl up against hockey playoff] and this most recent change and the gc game will be played BEFORE the time change making for playing more of the game in daylight hours AND hopefully better weather
I would still move kickoff to 4pm local

I don't see them getting rid of two bye weeks unless and until there is a 10th team (if that ever happens). Three byes are needed at the moment to prevent one team from playing two games in the same week, with one of them on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'm glad (but not surprised) to see that TSN has put up a caution flag on moving the season back even earlier, as Ambrosie had suggested a few times a year or so ago. As it is, if the Stanley Cup final goes six or seven games, it will finish after the CFL season begins. If there's ever a Canadian team in the final, the CFL season opener will be completely buried.

That's been my argument against moving the season up from the beginning. Even if there is no Canadian team, the NHL finals will still get all the National media attention over the CFL.

It's a good compromise. And if a tenth team comes on board, no doubt they'll get rid of one if not two bye weeks, which would eliminate going against the NHL. Maybe they made this move because they believe Halifax has a good chance of happening.

It's definitely another step in the right direction. I believe the ultimate goal is to have a 10 team league with the Grey Cup being played the last Sunday in October or the first Sunday in November.

Home opener start time moved back to 4 pm from 7. Due to the Arkells playing at Budwesier stage in the evening.

Have no problem with time change but it would have been nice if they had sent STH's a notification before finding out through 3rc sources.

We haven't received our Season Tickets yet so I'm sure the physical tickets will reflect the correct start time.

Now we get to see the new look Argos slap Hamilton around 3 hours sooner.

Maybe there should be a Argo/Arkells combo ticket, given the band's desire not to conflict, and their Hamilton/CFL connections.

4PM is better for families too. Hopefully between the 11AM home preseason game and this earlier start time for the home opener more kids will be at the games.
