This is much deserved as Greer was a dominant receiver in his time with the Argos from 1980-1985. He finished with 2,003 yards receiving in 1983, which was unheard of back then.

Especially considering it was a 16 game schedule. He is still the best receiver I have ever seen play in this league. Only one I have ever seen that regularly had 2 DB's in under and over coverage. Probably the reason the Ti-Cats had poor Ben Zambiasi try and cover Emmanuel Tolbert in 1983.

About freaking time. Here's my story for Argonauts.ca

Well deserved to say the least, I’m glad I was able to watch Greer’s career in person.
Hopefully Holloway comes North for his induction ceremony!

For anyone interested, I have posted a fantastic audio clip of Terry's iconic second touchdown against Edmonton in 1982 on my until-today dormant blog about Bouncing Back.

Way overdue for Terry. All the players selected this year were highly deserving.
Happy to see Greer in the HOF. Very well deserved. Had the privilege of watching him live. At the top of his career, he literally could not be covered, even with double coverage. The defense knew he was the prime receiver but they still could not stop him. His speed and smooth break into open space, was a pleasure to observe. IMO. after seeing all the great Argo receivers over the years (and we had some outstanding receivers), Greer was the best of the best.
Great to see! One of my all time favorites now in the HOF with Condredge!!
I actually met him the year he coached in Hamilton. On the train ride back from a game in Ottawa, players mingled in the fan car. Terry came in too, and being an Argo fan we had a beer and talked Argos. Great guy and great memories.
Congrats to Terry - an all-time great CFL receiver; wish he woulda stuck around with the Argos instead of heading to little used in the NFL ( with the Browns, then 49ers; still recall watching him on TV catching a long-bomb TD pass ( i think it was a Monday Night game ?) when he played with Detroit in his most productive NFL season.)
My God... Greer was a great player for us! A richly deserved honour.
Great news. One of the all time greats!
