Matt has been a great all round Argonaut. Who can forget the interception in the 2017 Grey Cup. Thanks for the memories.

All the best Matt. Thanks for the many memories over the years, for your professionalism and strong efforts in the community. It was only fitting that you made the Grey Cup winning interception because of your tireless dedication to the Double Blue and the City of Toronto.

I loved his attitude both on the field and in the community and happy to hear that he will still be involved with the Argonauts!

His redemption story in 2017 is one of my favourite moments in Argonauts history. I love how he handled himself being released (apparently took several players out for dinner to wish them well) and his maturity throughout that time allowed him to be called back to the team when injuries started to mount a week or two later. To go from that to getting the game winning interception in the Grey Cup is one of the reasons I was so excited that they won that game. In fact, immediately after the interception I was jumping up in my living room and started yelling, "it was Matt Black, it was Matt Black...that is so awesome!!!"
For me, each Argos season is like a new story and that season is the one with my favourite ending.

I've always loved Matt as a player. It's great to see he's staying with the Argos in the front office where his leadership skills will also shine through.

I was the opposite actually -- I initially thought it was Mitchell White who had come over and made the INT. I was so excited by that point in time that whatever PA announcement there might have been was unheard by me. It wasn't until an hour later when I was walking back to the car with Mulder that I asked him who had gotten the interception.

I agree with all of the comments that have been posted about Matt Black. He is a true professional and great ambassador for the team, and our city. While the Grey Cup interception is no doubt everyone's top game memory of Matt, one of my favourite clips was a video where he went one on one with a professional dancer, a ballerina was it?, just to show what great condition CFL athletes are in. I wish I could find it, and I hope I remembered it correctly... but nontheless... all the best to him and great to hear that he will remain with the franchise in the front office.
