This guy is giving the Argos more exposure than any news media and it looks like he has a big time leg, which is kind of surprising seeing he's only 170 pounds. He might even sell more tickets because of you tube than any of the team stars to the younger generation. Who knew. He's got one other thing going for him beside his leg, the Coach likes him.

Watched a couple of his videos. He seems very excited to be here. Also interesting that he gave up his NCAA career to keep his YouTube Channel.

Apparently Toronto immediately got 20,000 more Instagram followers and lept well ahead of Saskatchewan for most IF followers.

Great news! YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. are where the Argonauts are going to find new fans and grow the fanbase. TV Commercials and Paper Pocket Schedules are the past.

Question is, how many are actually within range to come to a game? If all these new followers are across the US, it doesn't really amount to anything where the Argos are concerned, except maybe for the opportunity to sell some merch.

A percentage will be. And you don't have to attend games to be a fan or be part of the fanbase. For example I know many leaf fans who have never been to a leaf game. They still watch the games and consider themselves leaf fans.

True -- but the problem the Argos have that the Leafs don't have is butts in the seats.

This only helps on all fronts. You aren't going to reach younger fans through traditional marketing, that's not where they are. Young people are reached online through social media.

you are right about exposure not necessarily meaning more fans in the seats. From the TV numbers, the Argos seem to generate a lot of viewers. I have people that try to talk to me about the Argos often. I have to bite my tongue when talking with them, because it annoys me when they say it would be great if the Argos could fill the stadium, yet they only go to maybe one game per season, if I take them along with me. I think those youtube or whatever followers are more likely to live their lives on line or watching tv.

Except for the fact that Argos merchandise can’t be shipped to the USA.

Yeah when you read the comments on his Argos video there were numerous people who said that they were from Toronto and were going to go to TC to see him.

Some cameos by Wilder, Lemon, and Washington:

Anybody notice how this kids videos are better quality and more entertaining than much of what the Argos officially put out? And it's probably just him with a laptop? Making you look bad, MLSE...

I'm enjoying the extra publicity and love the Argos are getting through this and hope that he legitimately makes the team.
