This is great for those who the GO is an option for. This probably desrves it's own Thread though.

Separate email was sent with a link to purchase.

This is a great initiative and LONG overdue. Kudos to the Argos for doing this.

I really don't think fans mind paying $11 when they are at a sporting even.

Are the lower prices working at Argo games? has the $5 draft beer had any affect on attendance? the other Toronto sports teams seem to be selling the beer at the regular beer prices that you would expect at a major league event.
I was at the Wolf Pack game and big line ups at the beer tents and under the stands at $9.
As I've noted before, the RBs have never sucked. Let's see how many people are buying $11 beers whenever they have a 3-9 record.

Also, why do you care if the Argos are selling beer at $5 as opposed to the Jays selling $12 beers? Who gives a rip, just enjoy the beer.

Yes of course, it's called Supply and Demand. If a team has a bad year and attendance slumps badly the owners will drop ticket and beer prices.
It's happening in Montreal and Vancouver.
I'm sure MLSE is pulling there hair out trying to figure out how to increase attendance, cheap beer and tickets haven't worked so far.

OMG if $5 brewskis don’t pack the stadium I don’t know what will?
Some fans already at the game may decide to buy a beer or two at the cheaper price but I hardly think people will decide to attend an Argo game due to reduced beer pricing.

Yup, the Blue Jays are doing the same thing this season. Although only at a few stands.

Staying at home and buying beer at a store is still the cheapest option out there so I don't think beer is a huge influence at all. I spend $0 every game.

And I take it you are not actually a "CFLfan" seeing how you post here, and at other sites, and it still amazes me how you get away with it.

No moron. He’s a ST holder. He was noting how insignificant cheap beer is in regards to attendance.
It's us vs the rest of the country

You apparently haven't been to an MLB or NFL game in the States.

I can tell you as someone that's been going to Argos games for 40 years now, their peak attendance over those years was at a time when beer wasn't even sold in the stadium. Maybe they need to eliminate beer sales altogether to get bigger crowds? Yes, that is a sarcastic comment on my part, but at least I know it was a stupid sounding one.

Maybe the Argos should just hire the entire marketing department from Ottawa? Surely then crowds at BMO would soar to 35K because the RBs do everything right, haha.
