Shipyard changes for the BC game.

We'll be creating more space for fans in the Shipyard and adding a few more places to buy beer. More details to come before the game, but things will be running more smoothly for the B.C. game. I thought I'd give you guys the heads up here first.

Thanks for your patience and your continued support. We hope to see you there for the Lions on July 6th.

I'll be there, though not at the start of the game as I don't finish work until 630 and it takes time (80 min by ttc, so taking the GO) to get over from east Scarborough.

Kudos to the Argos for being ahead of the curve. Blue Bombers are introducing $5 beer and $3 concessions. Nice to see other CFL teams playing catch-up!

Probably realized that lower prices = higher profits:

Except in Ottawa, fans were buying beer left right and centre at $11. I don't think reducing the prices encourages more sales there.
I really don't think fans mind paying $11 when they are at a sporting even.

Are the lower prices working at Argo games? has the $5 draft beer had any affect on attendance? the other Toronto sports teams seem to be selling the beer at the regular beer prices that you would expect at a major league event.
I was at the Wolf Pack game and big line ups at the beer tents and under the stands at $9.

Why do you continually troll on an Argos fan site when you are not even an Argos fan? Have all the RedBlacks fan sites banned you, Slimy?

That's funny, disagree with someone and you are a troll.

You think that $19 tickets and $5 beers are going to make the Argos a profit?

Exactly, the season has barely started and you'd think from some of the stuff I've read the league is going to collapse.

As I've noted before, the RBs have never sucked. Let's see how many people are buying $11 beers whenever they have a 3-9 record.

Also, why do you care if the Argos are selling beer at $5 as opposed to the Jays selling $12 beers? Who gives a rip, just enjoy the beer.

Yes of course, it's called Supply and Demand. If a team has a bad year and attendance slumps badly the owners will drop ticket and beer prices.
It's happening in Montreal and Vancouver.
I'm sure MLSE is pulling there hair out trying to figure out how to increase attendance, cheap beer and tickets haven't worked so far.

I give full points to the Argos for trying.
They offer way more value that TFC for season seat holders and walk ups.
I think the value beer concept is great, i wish they really took it a step further, like the jays with their value options.
There is no easy answer to bringing the crowds back, i think we are all looking for a magic solution that'll put 25k in the stands each game
Anything new they try cant hurt. If you just get 100 extra people than thats still 100 new people.

Maybe we'll see an uber hookup for a discount within Toronto.
