No sour grapes on the way the Argos lost last night, but winning on a failed field goal attempt really is anticlimactic--not to mention missing out on a potentially entertaining overtime. I love the rouge and its deep-rooted history in the rules of the game, but Milt has a point. What if the defending team on the kick could elect to either concede the rouge and take the ball on the 35 or decline the rouge and take the ball on the 5? Given the importance of field position, there are few situations a team would take the ball on the 5, but late in a tied game would definitely be one of them.
