Official Toronto Argonauts-Winnipeg Blue Bombers Game Thread August 1, 2019

After gilthethrill was officially fired from starting game threads I thought I’d give it a try.
Although the Argonauts are currently 0-6 I’m really looking forward to being at BMO Field on Thursday (it seems like forever since we’ve hosted a game).
Hopefully a decent crowd to show the team we are still 100% in their corner👍

I will be there, although I'd be more confident of an upset if the Bombers had defeated Hamilton and were an over-confident 6-0. As it is, they'll be annoyed and wanting to atone for their sloppy play last week, which is not good for the Argos. Still, here's hoping...

Or it could be the beginning of Matt Nichols annual 3 or 4 game slump prompting Bombers fans to call for his head. Well, that's what I'm hoping for anyway.

Well, Hogie did say that their 3 game ticket blitz a few weeks ago which included this game was well above expectations. I think it will be bigger than last game for sure. Predicting 15k.

He's the best we have. Plus I put all the blame on the receivers for the INT's. By now they should know to run to where he's going to throw it rather than where he's supposed to throw it.

Interesting game plan, LOL. I guess if all the receivers ran hooks or curls, they can run back to ball. MBT can’t possibly under-throw those can he?

Sorry to see Noel on the 6 game injury list. Looked like he was on the verge of a break out year.
Would like to have seen Grittens in place of Smith.

I don't understand the devotion that Chamblin (and Trestman) has for MBT.

Hope tonight's O Line is up to the task. We all know what happens when MBT hurries his decision making. That said, beautiful day for our first W of the season!

I think he has all the resolve, composure, and determination that any coach would want in their starting QB. Now, if only he was a more consistent passer...

That's more or less my read on him as well. I really wonder how well he might do if he had more time to scan the field for receivers. But we have the o-line we have, and as long as he has the ball it is incumbent on him to deliver it to the right-coloured uniform.
