    U of T football

I have had the pleasure of watching the last 2 Varsity Blues games on live stream, and can say they are a very exciting team to watch this season. Of to a 2-1 start and QB Clay Sequeira love to air it out.

They lost week one to Waterloo 33-30 in a game where Sequeira outplayed Tre Ford. Then beat Windsor at home 54-26 and last night drove 90 yards in the last minute capped off by a 53 yard scrambling TD pass to beat Laurier at home 38-34.

In 3 games, Sequeira has thrown for 1,257 yards and 14 TD’s. He also has run for about 200 yards.

I will definitely make a point of going to see this team play live at some point this season.

I am going to Waterloo Saturday to see the Warriors take on Guelph. I like Tre Ford but that UofT qb you speak of sounds more than impressive.

Should be a good game. Ford is excellent and from what I’ve heard, Guelph has a very good team this year.

I wonder how this guy Clay Sequeira got away from Laval or Montreal U being from Quebec. Good size and he can run as well going by his stats. Has he a CFL arm Angelo.

Definitely has a deep arm. It’s hard to judge if he has the type of arm that translates to pro ball on the stream. He loves to throw deep down the sidelines. Tommy Dennison is the Blues passing game coordinator from what I understand. Nice to see former great CFL D-lineman Greg Marshall hopefully turn the program around.

Thanks. Yes it is good to see the Varsity Blues not be bottom feeders for once.

The Varsity Blues are nationally ranked for the first time since 1997.

Not sure if their D is good enough to keep up that ranking, but they are fun to watch. A good season can only help them as far as future recruiting goes. It's just nice to see a local Usport team become relevant again.

I was at the game. Sequeira has good mechanics, looks comfortable throwing and running but he had under thrown his receivers all game with balls skipping into the turf. Probably happened at least 6 times. U of T had a chance to win the game twice on two different series. One was over thrown on 3rd day, the other went right through the hands of the receiver, again on third down.
