    Rob Bagg Retires

Rider WR Rob Bagg, one of the best Canadian receivers over the last decade has retired. Injuries had limited him to four games this year with no receptions, but he had two years with over 800 yards (2009 and 2014) and two more with well over 600 yards (2010 and 2016) in receptions helping to produce a career total of 4,705 yards. By the way he was another undrafted Canadian, gaining 371 yards in his 2008 rookie year, whereas many Canadian rookies do not even get on the field in their first year.

After 11 seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, wide receiver Rob Bagg is calling it quits. ...

Bagg recorded 4,705 years and 24 touchdowns on 364 catches in 143 CFL games.

“To my brothers, every single player that put on the green and white in the last 11 years, thank you,” Bagg said in his Twitter post. “To me, there has been few better feelings than knowing I had your back and you had mine. It truly was an honour to take the field with you and I will always consider you family.”

Bagg spent his college career at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont. and went undrafted in 2007.

In 2008, Bagg made the Roughriders out of training camp.

Bagg said in his post that he will begin a career in real estate in Kingston.
