Game Thread: Hamilton at Winnipeg Friday, September 27th

With Bomber QB Matt Nichols gone for the season due to shoulder surgery and Hamilton having Maleek Irons returning and Tyrell Sutton added to the lineup, I'll go with the Tiger Cats.

I`ll take the Bombers at home; don`t matter who Ticats have at RB - they are a pass first offence, and their young QB is looking good, plus they have a solid defence. I`ll bet Strevler can progress some as a passing QB, plus Andrew Harris is still a force at RB, so LaPo`s offence should be able to do enough to win here; Bummers weak D-Backfield could let them down here though.

Pretty dominant road game by the Cats. Probably clinches the East for them, and the Bombers could be in big trouble in the West with four difficult games to close the season

Evans looked pretty good throwing for 359 yards and 3 TDs. Good to see the league developing some good young QBs.

Agreed - Evans is a very impressive young QB - poised and an accurate passer.

Strevler - OTOH - is just not a good passing QB - can`t read good enough, not an accurate arm.

And the supposed so ìnnovative`LaPo offence can`t get that they are not going to win with Strevler running a pass first offence; they could try to lean wayyyyy more on the run game - Harris - 20+ carries a game, throw in Augustine as a change of pace, run even more receiver carrying the ball plays, plus lots of designed Strevler runs, but - that would just be too radical for a CFL standard look GOB offence - you just have to pass way more than you run in the good ole CFL.

I wasn't thinking of Strevler,, but Adams, Fajardo, Arbuckle in addition to Evans.
