I'm not sure that I understand the passion that I sense with respect to the love for MBT or Franklin. I understand both perspectives, and the points are valid. However, if you step back and look at the bigger picture neither is going to be the one to lead the Argos out of this misery and to respectability, let alone to becoming a top-tier team. Franklin is not what we thought we bought, and MBT is (his record is what it is for a reason, don't tell me that it's a team game and more than just the QB's doing).
Similarly I have read some of the arguments about not putting in Prukop or O'Connor in behind this OL (and let's be real - it is a gawdawful OL). However, I think that there is value to getting both of them in there, getting game film on both of them that they can watch, and learn from, in the off season. Get them in the game, get some tape on them and see what you have, or what you don't have.
The two that are ahead of them aren't the answer. Frankly if they were both gone at the deadline I would be happy.
As for Collaros...... I don't have any answer there. But at least he is a more known commodity. I'm just not sure that he's the answer, but I'm not sure that he isn't either. Every hit he takes scares me, for his sake.
Had he played well before the injury I would agree, but since he didn't you can't just use that cliched statement. Lost by 50 points his first game and losing by 25 at half his second game, then got injured. Results despite losses were at least respectable for the most part after that.
It's us vs the rest of the country
Woods is out and onto the 6-game list...
Interesting to see Foggie pulling in, was touted as a good cover LB
Collaros is back on the six, which presumably means he is done for the season.

Well the oline remains the same as last week....continuity is good....
I was surprised to see Collaros practice. He probably cleared the tests and protocol, but then didn’t feel right. As I stated before, if your not cleared up of concussion symptoms by 3 months, your likely done for the year. Makes the trade for Collaros completely unnecessary. I would cut ties if he’s still interested in playing. It’s time to retire.
It doesn’t bother me who starts tomorrow. I think we will see more of what Franklin brings, which is nothing special, and we are finally able to move on. Absolutely need to get some looks at Prukop. Hopefully, he can come in for the second half to relieve Mr. Smiley.
Normally they would have O’Connor learn from the sidelines, especially during a playoff hunt. These next games are such an opportunity for development. I don’t believe he can’t handle himself and they need to baby him. The games, particularly against Ottawa are not substantially different then what he saw pre-season. Time to see what he’s got. He doesn’t have to succeed either. I want to see how fast he can read, recognize and release. We’re officially in 2020 pre-season mode after this game anyway.
MBT has given the Argos a chance to win most of the games he has started; Franklin just hasn't.
Looking at some other posts, Collaros received a significant amount of his money up front from the Riders so the Argos aren't on the hook for much anyway. Also, I wouldn't necessarily read into his being six-gamed again that he has had a setback. He can still be pulled off at any time.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

Below is the Lions depth chart. It is interesting that they are going with only two QBs and have three Canadians listed as starters at SB/WR, Lemar Durant and Shaq Johnson, who are #1 and #2 in receiving yardage among Canadians, and Rashaun Simonise. However, Simonise has only one reception for two yards this year, so, in his case it's likely that his listing as a starter is another example of depth chart unreliability.

It is three hours until kickoff and I am literally gearing up for this game. I'm passing on the double blue face paint though settling instead for my boat logo all of a sudden too tight hoodie. How the hell did that happen? Anyway despite the paper bag references from earlier in the week and the sense of dismay on this forum at the news that James Franklin is listed as the starter I am looking forward to a big game from #8 as I predict that the Argos will snuff out the Lions faint playoff hopes with a convincing victory. I don't know what it is but this team always plays well and wins when I am in the stands. Do you hear me Popp?
By games end I predict that both Franklin and yours truly will be carried off on the shoulders of our peers, him to a joyous locker room, me to be unceremoniously dumped into False Creek. Enjoy the game.
