I must admit to being won over by MBT. It is difficult not to admire his determination, toughness and calmness under some very arduous situations.
Still not convinced he is the team's answer for a starting QB but based on his performance under duress this year, he deserves a fair shot at the position for next year.

MBT was serviceable last night against a bad Ottawa team, and that’s what I would want for a backup QB. I would happy to retain his services behind our starter.

I hope MBT is back next year as well. He can be in the mix for the starters position and at the very least, be a great back up.

Nice win except for the slightly stressful ending. Good bounce-back from the B.C. disaster.

Though I was on Team Franklin at the time, looking back it was a big mistake by Chamblin to name Franklin the starter in the off-season. Made sense for Trestman to do it with Ray in 2017 because Ray had a strong starting pedigree. Franklin did not. It should have been an open competition, which I think MBT would have won because he had a better camp.

Good game by James Wilder. They have to use him more to get the running game going.

Next year only 2 starting QBs per team. It looks like Pinball wants Collaros back and MBT would likely be the backup.
They are going to have to release Franklin, Prokup and O'Connor.
With the new 2 QB rule, teams will no longer be able to develop young QBs unless they accept a place on the practice roster.
O'Connor was on the starting roster all season, it would be hard to take a big pay cut and go on the practice roster.

I'm not up to speed with this 2 starting QB rule for next year. With all the quarterbacks getting injured (Mike Reilly about 5 minutes ago) how is that going to work?

Teams will stash qbs on the injured list where they will collect a full paycheque. Makes more sense to just dress 3..

It is a bit of a throw back to the 50's and 60's, when teams had 2 QB's and where an athletic type QB, would play another position either as a backup or as a regular. Russ Jackson started that way, signing as a DB with Ottawa. Prokup is very athletic and might find himself in that type of role. As others have mentioned, QB's could find themselves on the injury list.

In the very unlikely case of both QB's going down in a game, a QB playing in some other role, could then move into the QB position.

You can dress only 3 QBs this year but Argos managed to have 5 guys on the roster. They will not be keeping just two next year.

If you like football, and the Argos, you should be there. You only get 10 chances per year to go to a home game. Only one more left. The game was not a snooze fest at all.
I'll be at every game they play the rest of the way. Going to Montreal for their game on Friday, and also to Hamilton for their final game.

They didn't call it the 'Mistake by the Lake' for nothing!
