This was in a Toronto Star story today, confirming what had been suggested previously (and answering the prayers of many Argo fans):

The Reds also announced plans to remove the temporary stands in the north end next season in favour of a gathering area, similar to the West Jet Flight Deck at the Rogers Centre. Manning added that the club will also have a safe standing area in the south-end supporters’ section for the 2021 season.

Well, it's not like there aren't enough seats for the Burlington marching band elsewhere in the stadium. Seriously though, this is a good thing. Hopefully it translates into creating an interesting area for people, especially younger casual fans to hang out, enjoy the game day experience, and thus become actual fans.

Great news! A suggestion I was heavily campaigning for. It will work for both BMO teams too. A nice patio, with BBQ’s smoking. Pre-game festivities opened up with field views and exciting atmosphere.

While you guys were at the Skydome, that north end has quite a history.

It started off as a beer garden, then they built actual stands that held about 2k.

Those stands were torn down in order to make room for a CFL field.

Then it became a beer garden again after the roof was put on BMO.

Then they erected those temp stands we've seen for the last few seasons.

Now its going back to a beer garden/ fan area. Phew!

Sorry, I was addressing the pure 'blue-bloods' who probably never went next-nor-near BMO field before 2016. There are very few people who support both of these football clubs.

Well, the Argos played “near” BMO for many years before TFC’s conception, so,,,. Honestly though, you give off the wrong attitude. The whole Argos/TFC thing is over, aside from a few soccer losers that can’t seem to let it go. Ya, football is full of Neanderthals and soccer has it’s wussies, but I follow both teams and I would not say very few also do. The TFC extremists make it seem like it’s sacrilegious to also cheer for the Argos. My TFC fandom has diminished over the last few years mostly because of this, maybe similar to your own Argos following. Shame really.

To my eyes, the new hybrid field held up incredibly well for both teams. That should end the concern about sharing the stadium, shouldn't it?

Yes, the field seemed in great shape at seasons end.
MLSE also did a much better job with the artificial turf in the north end zone.
Personally I could care less who else uses the facility, on Argo game days it looks like their home stadium which is all that matters.
