The only release that concerns me is McEwen, the others I really wasn't expecting back in Toronto.
TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
McEwen has officially signed with Calgary.
Gaydosh was Laing's backup, so his departure may signal that we've given up on the idea of starting a NAT at DT. I hope that's not true.
Not starting a "true NAT" at DT might mean we'd have to start at least two of them on the o-line.
Trying to guess the distribution of the 7 NATs and 3 "new NATs" at this point, with the roster unfilled, is a mug's game. But I've been assuming we will play two INTs and possibly two "new NATs" along with just one "true NAT" (presumably Campbell) on the o-line. If can find a second starting "true NAT" on the o-line (from existing kids and/or someone we sign in FA) we would have more options for the rest of the roster. Either way, I think we are going to have two "true NATs" among our six starting backs and receivers, with two of Cross, Cibasu, Adjei and Gittens on the field at all times.

Argos (MLSE) pulling out all stops including their signature move (Raptors or Leafs game) to lure Jefferson to the Argos.

The only release I'm disappointed (but not surprised) with is Prukop. Love his game and skill set, but not surprisingly the Argos are going with 3 pocket passers.
Argo’s, then Ticat’s LB Terrance Plummer starts for Marc Trestman’s XFL Tampa Bay Vipers tomorrow. I guess after the 10 week season he’d be eligible to play in the CFL again.

Gaydosh was IMO a solid DT to at least back-up, or play in a rotation; OTOH - he could be viewed as a draft bust since he went 1st overall and never evolved into a full-time, solid starter (and not sure he couldn't have if given the opportunity). Be interesting to see what happens with him in terms of CFL future.
Not sure what is going to happen with Laing - hope he stays an Argo - but IMO Gaydosh can be replaced via this coming draft - where the Argos have lots of picks and there are a number of good DT prospects. They could also try and sign BC's Junior Luke who is a FA DT (and a good one IMO who could rate way more playing time = get away from BC); but i bet the Als go hard after Luke who is from Quebec and played for Maciocia before.
It’s reported that the Argos are going hard to get Willie Jefferson offering $300k a season.

Willie is also meeting with Hamilton tomorrow.
Argos should shift gears and go after Ja’Gared Davis perhaps at a lower price.
As these updates keep coming out I’m starting to wonder if the Argos are just being used as a pawn to drive the price up.

Willie Jefferson’s decision reportedly down to the Bombers, Tiger Cats and Argos.
I suspect the Argos may have to overpay to secure his services which I’m not sure is a good strategy overall.

SO let me get this straight. The Argos fly Jefferson and family into Toronto, put them up in a ritzy Hotel. Then have them take in the Leafs and Raptors games and all the extras. Then while their in the neighborhood Hamilton ask him drop over for a visit, probably in a Cab. Probably have a bunch of fans chanting Argos $uck. Who do you think has the inside track. Willie will be an Argo.
Actually no I don’t know who has the inside track, only Jefferson knows.
You could be right but you never know until he actually signs the contract, I suspect he was scheduled to visit Hamilton all along.
You don’t think the player will explore all options and play one team off of the other?
