Also, altho I expect both Cibasu and Cross to play, I would not put Cibasu ahead of Cross on the depth chart until he has proven he's at least as good as Cross. And I think Adjei might be pencilled in above Jones on the depth chart at this point, altho again I expect both guys to see plenty of action.

I get or like a bunch of the signings so far, but the Argos seem to be going on a real shopping spree - and signing guys just because they were in the league before = not sure i get that - Bazzie & Roh are average at best and not starting calibre IMO, but i guess all the TC competition is needed and these contracts are not guaranteed and these guys can get cut anytime? Foote has looked pretty average too in a bit of playing time with the Als - i think a better DT can be found in the draft.

Per Fahan Lalji, Argos might be in on Micah Johnson. If that is the case, assume it would be Micah OR Drake Nevis.

If we can get Micah Johnson to go with Drake Nevis the middle of the DL will be tough to run against and put a lot of inside pressure on opposing QB's. Roh is a good solid player who can play end or tackle and would also be able to be used as a Naturalized American. Bazzi has been a good pass rusher. Lots of options for DC Glen Young.

Kudos to John Murphy, Pinball and the football ops staff for doing a great job today in free agency.
Many roster deficiencies dealt with, no sitting still after back to back disastrous seasons, way to go guys!

Agreed. As I said in an earlier post significant changes had to be made. On a personal note I am sad that with the receivers signed today there doesn't seem to be room on the roster for Armanti Edwards, one of my favorite Argos unless he is willing to put on a couple of pounds to try Left Tackle.

Nice - Colquhon is a talented CB IMO and just needs to stay healthy and get a shot to play regular; with him and Woodson, the Argos could easily entertain starting 2 NIs (or 3 even if they look at S - Lokombo, re-sign Gabriel or draft a good prospect) in the D-backfield.

Be interesting to see if 7 only need apply thinking will be the way - some real NI talent at receiver with Brescacin, NFLer Jones, Noel, Gittens, Adjei, Cibasu, to go along with some new Canadian talent on D - Lokombo, Colquhon, Foote, Shorthill - potential starters or at least good depth. The "ratio problem", lack of Candian talent in the CFL whiner types are right out to lunch, IMO, but they will most likely persist in their ignorance and calling for less Canadian talent on CFL rosters - prominent on another CFL "fan" site.

Now Chris Ackie signed too = wow ! Lokombo, Ackie & Shorthill added to the D (the 1st can play LB or in the D-backfield) along with Colquhon & Foote; not sure i can recall the Argos going for this much Canadian D talent ever before ? Be interestin' to see how many of them play much on the new D.

This is unbelievable. I'd love to see the Argos start 9 or 10 Canadians. It would leave them in great position to substitute throughout games and not have any drop off.

Wow! My head is spinning with all these signings. Anybody want to take a stab as how they will line up in the defensive backfield? PW, Angelo? I thought Richardson, Campbell and Darby would be fixtures, but now they have Colquhoun and Ackie to go with Woodson, Lokombo and Boateng.

Be very interesting to see where Pinner & co. view all this new Canadian talent - Ackie, Lokombo & Shorthill all have OLB experience (Will types - Ackie was actually having a CFL best type season there a couple of years back till he got injured late), but Lokombo did well at safety with the Als last year, and Ackie was actually an all-star D-half in U Sports ball (as Woodson was); Colquhon is a starting calibre corner IMO and Woodson got to play his real position D-half late last season for the Argos. Foote will likely be viewed as a depth/rotation guy at DT (replacing Gaydosh); and Robbie Smith will likely just be depth/rotation at DE (he could hold down a DE spot if they had another NI DE to go with him IMO - a draft pick from a good crop), but the signings of Roh & Bazzie + some new import FA signings (with impressive resumes) likely means they will go all import at DE ?

Anyhow - a lot of Canadian D talent and versatility there it seems = nice problem to have; wonder how it affects draft thinking - load up on O-linemen as per CFL standard thinking ?

I expected the Argos to be active, but not like this. Our roster flexibility both Canadian and overall improved considerably.

Still think we need to do more for the o-line. Outside of Derek Dennis, not much quality left among free agents. There's always the draft.

Yeah - more like a maybe though; he did start some at S for the Als as a rookie, but seemed to fade away after that.
