Maybe someone can clarify this if I'm wrong.
I would like to see 22 Americans, 22 Canadians + 2 Global = 46 and let the Coaches decide how many QB's they want on the roster for any given day.
I believe you are correct and your solution makes sense. Who cares if they dress 1 or 5 qb’s? It should be up to the team.

I was one of those who argued strenuously back in 2014 that we should go with Collaros and kiss Ricky goodbye.

I’m still not convinced we made the right decision to let Collaros go.

Considering his outstanding play at times in Hamilton, and considering his excellent recent play with Winnipeg, it’s not hard to imagine Collaros leading the Argos to more than one Cup win over the past six seasons.

IMO teams should (and will) be able to dress a third QB if they are willing to use one of their backup NAT or INT slots for him. So, for instance, O'Connor could dress as one of the 21 NATs, or Prukop could dress as one of the 20 INTs (in addition to two designated QBs). I don't know whether, if a team were to do this, the third QB could be on the field at the same time as one of the two designated QBs. I personally don't see why he couldn't be, but the league had a rule in the past that designated QBs could not play other positions so who knows.

I'm not looking to reopen a five-year-old debate about the merits of Ray vs. Collaros. Just pointing out that we may soon see another team do exactly what the Argos got pilloried (in some quarters) for doing in the past.

    My Choices:

    Tobi Antigha: okay not essential
Frank Beltre: time to move on unless can't a replacement
McLeod Bethel-Thompson: at the right price
Freddie Bishop III: hopefully can find someone better
    Jamal Campbell: Key young Canadian
Davon Coleman: worth keeping if price is right
    Armanti Edwards: Certainly
Kevin Fogg: only if no one is pursuing him
James Franklin: team and him both need a change
Jermaine Gabriel: still think he is valuable as Canadian content
S.J Green: good leadership skills - keep as long as no high bidders
Justin Herdman-Reed: keep if no high bids
Tyler Holmes: keep only if a decent contract
Roubbens Joseph: already signed - only played 3 games - hopefully a low contract -didn't see him enough to judge anything
    Abdul Kanneh: good bye

    Cleyon Laing: a must
    Sean McEwen: a must
    Zackary Medeiros: bye bye
Jonathon Mincy: needed to improve defensive backfield
Llevi Noel: has potential and versatile so keep
Ronnie Pfeffer: only on a low contract and with hope can find someone better
    Dakota Prukup: if possible
    Chris Rainey: still valuable
Jimmy Ralph: on a low contract
Shaq Richardson: at a decent price
    Rodney Smith: No
    Eric Striker: No
Trumaine Washington: at a decent price
Derel Walker: need a deep threat so unless bidding goes crazy keep him
    Ian Wild: bye bye
Bear Woods: already signed has key leadership skills
Chandler Worthy: signed has improved offers versatility

Thing is about Beltre, he has become one of the best ST cover guys in the league. I would not be so quick to just let him walk.

I would keep Rodney Smith over Armanti Edwards. He showed great improvement this past season, while I think Edwards has peaked.

I would absolutely keep Beltre. Great on ST's, and a decent back up DE.

I agree as well. Very valuable, and likely not very expensive.

If only he would start wearing lower socks and stop exposing both his knees and ankles -- it is without question the worst look in the entire league, and makes a mockery of the concept of a "uniform."

I agree but at least he's wearing socks. Every year it seems more and more players aren't wearing socks at all.

I don't remember seeing that look this year -- possibly in one very hot game. Saw it a few times in 2018 tho. Beltre never wears socks, per se -- he wears what are basically leggings between his bare ankles and his bare knees.

    Jerry’s comments are pretty solid.
I would try to keep Beltre (for reasons previously listed) and Rodney Smith who surprisingly was very effective in 2019, I would move on from Armanti Edwards, JerMaine Gabriel and Chris Rainey.

IIRC I saw it in two games. Once it was RedBlacks players.

Flutie was on a personal services contract for most of his money. He likely had a smallish cfl player contract as well, which presumably did get him paid that amount. But the bulk of his salary was in a personal services deal between him and owner Larry Ryckman that was outside the league's purview. Both men talked about this in the Flutie episode of A Football Life which is shown periodically on NFL Network. Ryckman admits not paying and has the stones to say that despite that, he doesn't feel he owes Flutie a dime.

The way the Argos season went in 2019, surprised Beltre wasn't flagged for Dress Code Violation....after helping make a stop on a game winning goal line stand 😁

Haha....the league had some owners who were "characters" back in the 90s.
