Top 10 Moments of the Decade?

Top 10 Argos moments this past decade?

    My top 10 are.....

    1. Ricky Ray Trade
    2. 100th GC Champions
    3. 104th Grey Cup win in Ottawa
    4. Chad Owens 2012 MOP year
    5. 2012 EF. Alouettes drop in end zone brought a heart attack.
    6. New Ownership. From Braley to Larry T and now MLSE.
    7. Ricky Ray’s near perfect 2013 season. Record 77% completion. 21 TD, 2 Ints.
    8. Cory Boyd - First 1000 yds rusher since Jenkins. Back to back 1000 seasons.
    9. 2010 ESF. Cleo Lemon wins a playoff game. First in 3 years.
    10. Barker as GM. Hiring of Scott Milanovich. Brought stability. Look at that staff in 2012.

Chad Owens' MOP year was 2012, he won the special teams award in 2010.

Good list altho it's more "stories" than "moments." Personally I'd find a way to squeeze in the 2017 Eastern Final and the 2017 home opener, with Green's circus catches. Also the 2012 semi win over Edm, with RR's stunning TD scramble.

Ricky Ray trade and the Grey Cup seasons no doubt.
The 2010 Eastern Semi Final win over Hamilton ranks up there as well.
Single biggest play goes to the Matt Black end zone pick in the 2017 Grey Cup.

I think those same people would be saying the league helped Toronto if Popp landed Bo Levi Mitchell last year. He wasn’t allowed to return to Calgary would be the line, LOL.

Don't you know that any time the Argos win the Grey Cup that it is a conspiracy?

Oh how true. I am sure then Eskimo GM Eric Tillman threw away his future for the good of the Argos...how nice of him. (Sarcasm).

As I explained to one guy, Tillman thought he was pulling off a repeat of the Kerry Joseph to Toronto trade, thinking that Ray was basically done.

You could even mention the Kent Austin trade when Tillman was in BC...although I forget who went the other way, it was a lobsided transaction.

Top moment for me was Wilder's 3rd down catch on the pass from Ray during the go ahead drive of the 2017 East Final. Happened right in front of me. Of course if I had made it to the Grey Cup game there would have been a few more memorable moments. The bomb to Posey and the fumble return being added to the Black interception already mentioned.

    2010

Just a bit of a feel-good story. By no means would I call that team good, but it was nice not to go 3-15. The team played hard with Chad Owens and Cory Boyd.

Highlights: defeating the Ticats in the east semi at Ivor Wynne.

    2012

    Acquiring Ricky Ray
    Chad Owens winning the MOP
Finally beating Montreal in the east final (after losses in '05, '06 and '10)
Winning the Grey Cup at home and having the city actually care about the Argos for a week

    2013

    Ricky Ray playing lights out
Winning 4 consecutive road games (3 of them out west)

    2017

    Shocking the country!
    Matt Black INT
    Cassius Vaughn fumble recovery

I would actually argue that Tillman was ALMOST right. He was right in that Ray was becoming injury plagued and carried a huge salary to boot. Those 2 things, in some ways cost the Argos some success, BUT what he could not or did not account for, was that Ray would be at his best in a few critical moments that ultimately led to 2 Grey Cup victories.

I'd add the comeback win against Ottawa and the 2017 Eastern Final. 2 BMO Field bright spots to on a Long list of failures at BMO Field.
