    MBT on Rod Pedersen

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZHqKkNHisM

Good interview. He alluded a few times to the dysfunction of the team last year and it sounds like it was the right move to clean house on the coaching staff. I love this guys attitude though and really hope he does well for us this year.

Thanks for posting that, Stevoman. Very interesting. Sure would love to know the full story from behind the scenes last season. He was measured in his words, but it wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement of the coaching staff.

Although most observers seem to have conceded the starting job to Nichols, I still believe MBT will emerge as the No. 1 QB if there is a genuine open competition. Nichols' recovery might make that moot -- if he gets six-gamed to start the season, that's an opportunity for MBT to seize.

I guess a Masters from Berkeley isn't quite what it used to be.

Either that or he's a lot smarter than he sounds. Does he even know what the word "episodic" means?

In any case I'm starting to really like and respect this guy, and although I still think that Nichols is a better QB, it's pretty comforting to know we have the best QB depth in the league.

I wish the CFL would do a show every night on TSN or their own cable channel and also have the show on the Radio. (Sirius?) 1 hour would do for me. I want to here it going to work or coming home or both. Each team could host and talk everything CFL. There is always news or something to talk about it seems.

I do like the CFL coverage in the morning from the TSN Hamilton. For them and others an hour show would be easy. Nine teams or 10? so it wouldn't be too hard to fill an hour. I would listen to all. Don't seem to care about the other Professional sports any more. As I said TSN Hamilton seems to do a great job and they talk a lot of Football.

Speaking of coaching, here's a video put together by the guys at XsandArgos showing what the Offence may look like this year

He might have meant "epic." But it's also possible he meant episodic, in the sense of many loosely connected events that all tied together into one big story. There certainly were a number of discrete "episodes" in the season-long drama: Wilder's refusal to play special teams, Franklin's halftime smiles in Vancouver, Lemon's ouster, Crompton's arrival, Collaros' arrival and departure, Popp's late-season firing, etc. Could make a hell of a book if anyone (such as MBT himself) had access to it all.

I agree we have very nice QB depth. Hamilton might stake a claim to having as much or more, but we're right in there with them when it comes to handy second options.

Happy to have him, and I am not going to concern myself with his use/placement of adverbs or choice of metaphors. He's from Cali, they have a language of their own down there. We usually see it arrive up here 5, or so, years later! No doubt lots of wacko stuff was going on and maybe some day we can read about it.

I don't know who Hamilton's #3 is, but I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that our #3 is a better prospect with more potential.
