Thanks again OV Argo. The only running backs in Marshall Ferguson's mock draft are Yorks Kayden Johnson and Western's Jonathan Fermi-Cole. I was really looking forward to see what Kayden Johnson would do in the 40. He's a 60m hurdler and I suspect he would of posted a blazing time.

Maybe he is a top draft pick if he could put up some outstanding testing #s including a fast 40; but he & Femi-Cole did very little stats wise in college ball; OTOH - the backs i have listed were top production running backs in U Sports; and I will almost always defer to those types over "athletes" or testers. Ferguson in the media would get whispered to by CFL insiders and have a sense of what "athletes" some scouts would be keen on - as CFL prospects who maybe get to play special teams; over accomplished football players.

Pellerin is a big back (225 range) who put up good numbers playing in Waterloo's new found powerful offence the past few years; maybe he only runs a 4.9 forty or so though and would get written-off by CFL scouts.

Lack of Combine testing #s, 1-on-1s and interviews is really going to affect this coming CFL draft, no ?

I've watched Pellerin too, and I think he will get drafted as a typical big Canadian fullback. Although a great athlete, Kayden Johnson did not overly impress as a RB at York. Maybe when he goes pro, and gets a year of pro training behind his belt, he will greatly improve like Sean Thomas Erlington did with the ticats and Milanovic-Litre did with Calgary.

Thomas-Erlington and M-Litre were very productive backs in college ball; Pellerin might get viewed as big fullback type by CFL types - typically; but IMO he might be able to do quite well as a big power tailback; M-Litre really impressed me when he got some real tailback action for the Stamps late last season.

Be interesting to see if the Ticats still view a Canadian playing tailback for them with T-Erlington & Irons in the fold; but i would not be at all surprised to see them relegated to back-ups if the plan is import at tailback.

The Bummers have Harris + Oliveira & Augustine = outstanding depth at RB and all Canadian talent = shows what can be done if a CFL team tries and is not myopic.

I would add Trivel Pinto to the receiver list. If he had not been moved from last year's draft, because of a drug violation, he might have gone in the first round last year. A two time first team All-Canadian, he is both fast and explosive. He has exceptional talent both as a receiver and as a returner. The only question is, will teams be hesitant to draft him because of his drug violation.

Yeah, a very good receiver prospect for sure; but a year away from playing and the drug question mark take him down a notch maybe for this draft ?
