Here, here ! - my first football hero - and still arguably the best RB to ever play for the Argos (amongst so many greats - Symons, McQuay, Metcalf, Minter, Fenerty, Pinball)

    I really enjoyed watching
Chad Kackert play, His stay with us was short but he was excellent to watch especially in the stadium you noticed how fast he was.

As I type this DeVier Posey just scored his 100 yard TD in the snow. Is there anything better in our Covid interrupted world than watching back to back Argo Grey Cup wins? Why yes there is! It's watching them over and over again thanks to my PVR.

    Stay safe guys.

Fun to re-watch these games but it always makes me miss some of the players that weren't around longer. Players like Kuale in 2012 and Mitchell White in 2017.

One thing better would be watching them right to the end of the game.

TSN decided that viewing the last several minutes of the 2012 Grey Cup game wasn’t necessary and abruptly cut to the 2017 game.

Argos got gifted in having to face that stiff Kevin Glenn at QB in, or run up to (East final for 17), both these GC games. Ricky Ray vs. Kevin Glenn at QB - what a mismatch of epic proportions.

Glenn certainly failed to distinguish himself in big games.

Pity they didn't show the game to the end--not well thought out. Enjoyed being reminded how good Kackert was as a RB.

Watching the 2012 game Friday, I couldn't believe that team was only 9-9 on the season. How did they lose 9 games? They had 4 assistant coaches who would become CFL head coaches. They had playmakers all over the field: Owens, Kackert, Durie, Inman, Kuale, McCune, Ball, Younger, McCullough, Thorpe, Carter. At least 3 of those guys signed in the NFL the next season. I guess having Eppele and Foley play their best games as an Argo in this game made a big difference. But the way the team played on this day, they could have given the '97 squad a run for their money.

A piece on CFL.ca says the Argos knew when Calgary was going to run the ball because (future Argo) J'Michael Deane was giving it away with his stance. No wonder they completely snuffed out Cornish that day.

Have to disagree Rich; not even close to that 97 team in overall talent; Maurice Mann & Jason Barnes in the receiving corps is mediocrity, and that O-line featured mostly average to journeymen types; and as great a CFL QB as Ricky Ray was he was not near equal to Flutie IMO. 2012 Defence not near the 97 D either. They did have a strong GC game in 2012, but they were also facing Kevin Glenn at QB.

IIRC, Argos lost 3 or 4 games that season with Ricky Ray out of the lineup.
