Thanks Mike for another great article. These look like some excellent potential Argos, especially the two well-experienced WRs, if at 31 they are not burnt out and interested in playing in the CFL.

That picture of Connor Cook reminded me of a picture of Tobin Rote back in 1960. Same number and the helmet with the one stripe. But maybe that is where the likeness ends. Cook could be the replacement for MBT on the roster.

No arguments from me with replacing Wilder, Green and MBT on offence. However, last season, about 6 of the games the Argos lost (home or away) were due to defense or special teams. It's just my opinion, and I know how much pressure there is in Toronto to have flash and dash and all that, but I do hope defense and special teams can also be addressed a little bit somehow this extended off-season. I really believe last year could easily have been a 8-8 season with a little better defense. However, easy for me to say, I know. Go Argos 2021 I guess.

There's been a ton of signings on defence. There are stories in this forum on each positional group, plus one on five defensive neg list players.

You're right, something had to happen on defence...it has, from coaches on down.

    Cheers!

The fact Murphy and the gang did such a nice job in addressing many areas of need in free agency makes the cancelation of the 2020 season that much more frustrating.

I was looking forward to seeing this rebuild. I liked all the hometown players and how often it was remarked that “they” wanted to be here. To much me first attitude was inflicting this team the last few years. I was hoping for a .500 season (got to aim high) and a discovery of solid players to add to a even stronger team the following year.
