This is great news.... Strip sleeves would be awesome... Like the ones above on Conridge or even the one on Ricky Ray … I am a old school... Its not a great uniform unless its got a good dose of Double blue with a bit of white... This is a good Direction... cant wait for next year … Go ARRGOS !!!!
If uniform changes were afoot, you'd think they would have mentioned this at a time they have everyone's attention. I fear that the unis are staying the same which is too bad. Hopefully they surprise.
I hope the facemasks go back to being white
Or they could get more bang for their promotional buck by rolling out other changes (helmet design, home unis, road unis, combos, etc.) at different times as next season (fingers crossed) approaches. Why limit oneself to one announcement when more than one would provide more opportunities to get people's attention? Staying in the public's consciousness is one of their challenges, so IMO the more opportunities they have to get publicity, the better.

Depends on your point of view. I guess I am big splash guy vs fits and starts!
I too am pleased with the logo change, and hope they move on from the glorified practice jerseys. IMO, they blew it when they changed to these jerseys. The 2012-2018 jersey was perfect.
It's us vs the rest of the country
How about these for the Argos new uniforms? Add sleeves matching the water under the boat of the new design of the boat logo - is pretty much the same as the 2012 and 2017 Grey Cup champion's jersey sleeves
Add the single stripe onto the helmet and outline the numbers with lighter blue and you have a winner!
Manning and Pinball have also teased a new practice facility. Nothing confirmed but they do want the Argos to have their own space and were close to securing one, before the "pandemic".
Love the boat logo, so I'll take this, but also wouldve been cool to just go full retro as an alternate, helmets and all.
I think the boat appeals to a certain generation, so why not just give them the full throwbacks for a couple games, and then move forward with something new for the rest.
The oxford blue is fantastic, wish leafs and jays used it too, and it just became our toronto colour.
Any idea what the historical significance of the teal in the Argos 90s logo was all about? Who thought of that?
There's no historical significance. it was "slate green," chosen by president Bob Nicholson as part of a $50,000 effort to revitalize the brand. The logo was OK, and parts of the ultimate uniform design (after 1995, that is) were very sharp, like the portholes on the leg stripes. But the colour change was misguided at best. Taking something that had been known for more than a century as Double Blue, and removing one of the blues? Come on, man.

Well the new boat logo tshirt is sold out in most sizes at Real Sports. Either they didn't start with a lot of stock, or the demand exceeded expectations.
I just hope they get more in soon!!
Meant to weigh in earlier when I received the e-mail blast from the team. I think they nailed the new logo, and this is coming from someone who expressed his opposition to reviving the boat logo in another thread a few months ago. The updates make more visual sense to me than the 80s one. Happy for the fans who really wanted to see the return of the boat too. Here's to the return of live football in 2021.
I just noticed that the Argonauts.ca "favicon" has changed. I guess it's official!
It really doesn't scale down to 32x32 pixels (or whatever) particularly well, unfortunately.
Funny thing, when the Argos introduced the logo/colours in 1995 it was Slate Green. I bought the launch t-shirt with the logo and lightning behind it. As the seasons went on, the dark/grey Slate Green clearly changed into the 90’s “Sea Foam” shade that was more prevalent in sports uniforms.
Love seeing the boat back both for history and style.
