Regarding the 20M question? Business sense is what is preventing MLSE from doing that. I guarantee that will never happen.

I love this re-signing. He was better than the majority of the secondary. Especially loved how good a tackler he was. He blew up a couple of receiver screens that really impressed me. Should a willingness to take on the block and still make the play. I would hope he gets a look as a starter.

Ray looks like he could help make our DEs a continuous sack machine with no rest for QBs wondering who is coming when players sub in. Ray had 14.5 sacks one year in college, 4 in his rookie NFL season and 8 another year. With Hughes at 16 and Law at 10 in 2019, it QBs could be choosing between happy feet and taking hard hits quite often.

There's a lot of truth in the old saying that a great football team begins with a great pass rush. If you can keep the opposing QB off balance or on his ass all day then you got a good chance to win any football game.

True. I recently re-watched the 1990 Eastern Final. The Argos ragdolled Tom Burgess all day long, and that was a big reason why they were in position to possibly win the game despite starting their fourth-string QB and ending up with their fifth-string QB in crunch time.

I'd never thought about Burgess that way but he sure got rocked that particular game.

Other guys who have been able to take a pounding include Ricky Ray and, especially, Kerwin Bell. He was one tough mutha.

The Super Bowl reinforced the notion that a massive pass rush can be deadly, especially against a weak offensive line. Mahomes was pounded mercilessly all game. We have loaded up on a potentially dominating pass rush, now we need to make sure we have an o-line that can stop other teams that will be trying to do the same. We especially need a strong LT.

I would love to see Jovan Olifoye back in the league and don't think he was done when he did not resign for 2019. Comparable to Stanley Bryant who is 36.

Ackie and Lokombo both sign elsewhere ? That's 2 top notch D starters who happen to be NIs as well. I always thought the notion that these Argos were loading up on local /Canadian talent (especially as starters) was as a bit hard/fishy to believe.

We'll see if they re-sign O'Connor or Adjei.

I saw on Twitter -- and I don't know if this account is reputable -- that the Argos are talking with Muamba.

To be fair, it is believed that Lokombo wanted to be closer to home in BC as well.

Bear Woods has played 7 games since the Argos won the Grey Cup in 2017. I'm not hedging my bets on him, are you?

Rather give Shortill a shot at W-OLB, vs. Judge who would want quite a bit more coin (i bet ?), plus has been hoping for an NFL look (so might jump ship after one season).
