isn't a sack counted as a carry. I would like to see his yardage when he actually pulled down the ball and ran with it.

Neither of MBT or Arbuckle showed anything close to even pretty decent QB mobility by CFL standards, IMO.

No, sacks haven’t registered under any rushing category in many, many years. And least 40 or 50. They are counted as yards lost in team passing but not individual QB stats

I'm pretty sure in video games, sacks would result in negative rushing yards but AV wasn't a dweeb and played real football

In the NCAA it is, but not at the NFL or CFL level.

Hopefully no one bought a Nichols Jersey.

You also have to remember Calgary 's offense is a check down then chuck away not a take off whenever you want / can. How many times has BLM run in the past five years? That is what Dinwoodie will probably do in Toronto now.. Nick will be fine.

And to balance .. I wanted Huf to sign MBT as the backup in Calgary but he went Prokop instead.

Cept that Arbuckle is not close to Bovine as a poised, smart reads passer - yet... but maybe he gets there.

Wonder if Dinwiddie will have much use for a real strong run game ?

Arbuckle obviously has a much smaller sample size but I thought this was a good read:https://www.cfl.ca/2021/02/02/fergus...p-means-teams/

It sounds like Arbuckle was very accommodating in salary negotiations with Ottawa. It's probably not a bad thing for us if he's holding a bit of a grudge...

Antonio Pipkin at the moment has to be #2 on the QB depth chart. I would think a couple of rookie QB's will be signed before training camp. Looking back at the neg lists there's four that are currently listed as free agents. Kelly Bryant 6'3 220 Missouri & Clemson, Connor Cook 6'4 220 Michigan State & 4th round pick of the Raiders a few years ago, Mike Glass 6'0 205 Eastern Michigan and Chase Fourcade 6'0 205 Nichols State. A couple other listed are still in College, and I'm sure there are others we don't know about as yet.

Yup. Time to sign two of those guys. I don't see much point in bringing in a former third stringer from another team.

We'll see what happens on the field, but our depth chart looks very economical, at least.
