Let's talk some football!
Two questions...
1) Who are you most excited to see play for the first time as an Argo? Why?
2) Which positional battle are you most intrigued by? Why?

1. Charleston Hughes, because he can make such a huge difference on pass rush. In 2019, the Argos gave up many more sacks than they recorded. Hughes should help change that.
2. Receiver, because there's been so much turnover. How good can Rogers and Daniels be in double blue? Can Brescasin bulid on the promise he showed in 2018 and 2019 in his hometown market?
I'm also interested in the battle for kicker. Will the global Sato be able to push Bede?
OL and DL, Argos have signed (and drafted) a bunch of talented players on both sides which should make camp competition interesting.
I’m also interested to see how Arbuckle performs, OL should be much improved to give him protection and the receivers look extremely talented.

Juwan Brescacin. IMO he is primed to emerge as best NAT receiver in the league.
LB. Tons of depth, especially among the NATs.

Both O & D lines:
D - who will play DE between proven CFL vets Hughes & Law (not including Willis - he was done in BC IMO), and NFL resume guys Ealy, Harold & Ray; and will maybe a DE type play reps at DT to go for pass rush priority; DT interesting too with vet Nevis and a bunch of new guys; young Canadian D-Linemen like Foote, Robbie Smith and Acheampong ? - who / how many can they carry with the emphasis on import talent ?
O-Line - Blake the real vet and hopefully a leader, but should be strong competition for all jobs; lots of former draft picks with good resumes; one import OT ?
RB should be interesting too; just wish Dion Pellerin was getting a real look at his natural position instead of being GOB written-off due to his passport and relegated to fullback - that's the new guy who I would be most interested to see play as an Argo - at tailback
Positionally, the lines. On paper they both look improved. That needs to translate to the field for us to be competitive.
As for players, all of them. It's been too long since we've seen them in action. If all goes well, we're less than two months away from kickoff.
Schedule is supposed to be released soon after Monday's BoG meeting. According to one rumour, Edmonton will host Ottawa August 7th.
I just can't wait to see some football, and hoepfully some friends down at BMO. It's been way too long
It's us vs the rest of the country
Just for fun, here are the depth charts the league put out on Facebook earlier today:

1. This is cheating, but the Canadian combination of Cam Judge and Henoc Muamba at WILL and MIKE respectively.
2. I'm interested to see how the battle for field-side corner plays out, will a Canadian stamp their claim to that spot?
TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
I'm intrigued to see how the defense stacks up especially up front. There seems to be a lot of competition for spots but with a shorter training camp, will there be a fair evaluation of the personnel?
However, the most important position will be the performance of the offensive line and how quickly the starters jell. They will be helped by a strong position coach in Steve McAdoo.
The Argos made so many moves, such that I am excited to see how all of the pieces fit into the big picture. What is the chemistry/culture going to be like, with a totally new regime top to bottom? Can these guys come together in less than a month, with no exhibition games, and really gel as a team?
As far as positional battles, I think it is going to be interesting at the QB position, especially now that the Argos have re-signed McLeod Bethel-Thompson. If Arbuckle doesn't establish himself as the bona-fide #1 in camp, or if he stumbles out of the gate or is too inconsistent, this could lead to some interesting dynamics.
Like those interesting dynamics in 2018 when the big money signing “QB of the Future” was given a measly three and a half games before getting yanked like a bad puppy. I think there is zero chance Arbuckle isn’t #1 out of camp barring injury, and you gotta figure he’s gonna have a long, long, long leash.
I expect the entire league to "stumble out of the gate".
But getting back to this thread I’m excited to see Kony Ealy, an elite talent who’s had some big setbacks and wants a comeback at 29. I got a good feeling about Jack Cassar and I love the idea about an AllCanadian MLB corps behind the great He Who Knocks. And I’m jumping out of my skin waiting to see this receiving corps, very intrigued by the new guys to the league, Brissett and Bryant.
