2021 Labour Day Classic: Argos vs. Tiger Cats

It's back! The Classic. Just one problem - it's in Hamilton and it's their home opener. Let's ruin it for them!

A classic rivalry will be the feature for the first game played in the Hammer at Tim Hortons during the 2021 CFL season.

The Hamilton Spectator’s Steve Milton reports: Although the team would not confirm it, The Spectator has learned that the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ first home game will be the Labour Day Classic against the Toronto Argonauts, Monday. Sept. 7.

The question is how many people will be able to attend.

BC is planning to allow 5,000 fans in August and increase numbers from there with the retractable roof open according to Farhan Lalji. So perhaps it will be similar in Hamilton, although it could be different due to different provincial regulations. Hopefully, if there is restricted attendance there will be some seats allotted to Argos fans.

Right now it looks like 15,000 can attend. If that number doesn't increase, the fans will be limited to Tiger Cat season ticket holders.

Step 3 = 75% capacity at outdoor events, meaning we're closer to a packed house for our Home Opener x Labour Day Classic on Sept. 6!The only way to guarantee your seats, including

to the 108th Grey Cup, is to become a Ticats season seat holder!
