Game Day !!!! Lets go boys.....We PULL together....Go ARRRGOS !!!!
Great start. I sure wish I was there but....... damned covid. Just curious about the attendance. How many are allowed?
The Argos did a good job of containing Oliveira last week. They need to keep doing it again or the Bombers will run the ball down the Argos throats, thereby greatly reducing their chances of winning.
Arbuckle looking good, already having 178 yards in the first half.
What was wrong with the refs that they couldn't see the unnecessary roughness on Daniels and we had to wait for the command centre review to get a penalty call? There are enough head hits and concussions in the game naturally to allow this to go unpunished.
Arbuckle has to have better awareness of where the rush is coming from and protect the ball better to avoid the fumbles.
Great to see Brissett get his first catch. Having the dual Foster-White RB threat adds a new dimension to the Argo offence. Arbuckle added an electricity to the offence in the last game that continues today, even with his fumbles, that was missing with MBT.
I don't mean to be critical but Jarious Jackson looks like he could step in and play tackle. A turn on the exercise bike may not be out of line JJ.
Great win against the Cup Champions!
And we finally have a QB.
Overall, a good performance especially by the defence. The offence was impressive too but they cannot afford to have six fumbles and expect to win most of the time.
Arbuckle makes the offence electric compared to MBT, even when MBT is piling up the passing yards on short yardage. I think it impacts the attitude of the offence. Of course he has to work on holding onto the ball.
Foster looks like a great addition and not simply because he had 101 yards.
Daniels had 100 yards despite missing a large part of the game due to injury. Hopefully he recovers from the concussion quickly.
McCoil looked good with 6 tackles and an interception.
Charleston had a couple of important knockdowns.
Well, that was fun!
So great to see such a quick start at home. Good runs by Foster and some huge catches by Rogers. Bede also had a very solid game. Hughes looked good with several knock downs as well and Arbuckle came as advertised.
Better ball security is needed but I'm thankful that they did not take too many penalties. The only thing I was disappointed by was that this game was closer than it should've been. The Argos needed to take advantage in the first quarter and come out with more than one touchdown with the field position and dominance in play that they were having. If Crapinga had hit those 2 field goals, it could've been a one point game.
All in all, great stuff and so happy to have the Argos back and being 2-1 through three weeks is a record I'll gladly take.
Only three penalties! I was starting to worry about that.
And... was that a huge chunk of Josh Miller's hair lying on the turf after his helmet was ripped off in the collsion with Alexander in the second quarter?!
I'll have more thoughts on this game tomorrow, but I'm tired.
It was nice to watch live football!

Arbuckle needs to just take the sack and not try to extend the play by fumbling it. How many fumbles did the team have before the LOS? Also he lacks awareness of where the safety is and almost killed his receivers (see Daniels) many time.
Overall, what this team has that the last roster lacked was yards after the catch or yards after first contact. It was great seeing DJ Foster break a big run after contact or Collins taking it far after a simple slant. Something that I haven't seen in awhile from the Argos.
Just finished watching the Riders-RedBlacks game, glad we ended up with Arbuckle.
Nichols arm looks shot.

It's us vs the rest of the country
Our defence is very good and it's amazing to see. The stats do not lie.
I think Arbuckle will only improve.
We just went 2-1 against two very good football teams.
A dominant performance on both sides of the ball. We should have won by 20. ( From the stands it looked like Arby’s arm was moving forward on the scoop n score. Why no review on that one?)
28 carries for 148 yards is a thing of beauty. This O-line has great push on the run, we are going to win a lot of games if we can keep it up. DJ Foster was a revelation.
Even though we didn’t get the sacks, the D was bringing big pressure, forcing a lot of hurries and several knockdowns. We are going to win a lot of games if we can keep that up. Hughes and Oakman really stood out for me.
Arbuckle’s ball security was obviously abysmal, and I thought a couple of his incompletions could have used a little more zip, but I chalk those up to rust. He’s going to get better. As it is, he made some great reads and decisions, and if he keeps that up....
And I think I have a new favourite uniform colour combination. Have they ever used that one before? After that game it looks like victory to me, and I hope they wear them again on Thursday.
That was a fumble Rich (to me, and after watching the replay on TV); but it was a horrible blown assignment by the OT or stupid play design to have a big DE like Jeffcoat totally unblocked on the play.
And the Bummers had no business being in this game other than that big play, and one other - the long TD pass to Adams, where he burned that young DB silly. (and BTW - the Bombers have about the worst receiving corps in the league (Ottawa could give them a run there) with Adams, Bailey & Lawler all mediocres who drop tons of passes).
Foster emerged as a force at RB - way better than White IMO, and hopefully he earns way more touches next game. O-line pass blocking is a bit of a worry though - like to see huge Giffen get a shot at OT maybe.
Agreed on the unis color scheme - looked nice (though maybe reminiscent of the NFL Titans' - cept the Argos have been around for about 100 years more with our double blue)
