No shock here, more importantly who will replace him if/when he leaves.

If there is no change in the availability of Glenn Young (my hope and first choice), I wouldn't mind seeing Devone Claybrooks get a look. He too would be familiar with Dinwiddie from their days in Calgary. He struggled as a HC in BC, but that was more the teams offence and lack of an O-line that did them in. It wasn't him that paid Reilly 750k.

I am with you on this one. I, too, would like Young to return but if the league wants to maintain its political stance even after the pandemic has subsided then Claybrooks should be the man. Claybrooks was an excellent d-coordinator in his time in Calgary, has worked with Dinwiddie before and should be motivated for a return to football. Furthermore, his teams have always had toughness which would be a huge asset to impart to the team.

Claybrooks is the guy I hope they call as well, very good DC in Calgary.

I too would love to see Claybrooks as DC in Toronto. He got a raw deal in BC and, after getting his full salary there through this season, I am sure he is itching to get back at it.

This really had nothing to do with the league. It was an MLSE policy. Even still, with the Government rulings regarding travel now, I don't see even 1 player, coach or executive in the league next year unless they are fully vaccinated.

No athlete would be allowed to enter the country, if government policy is still in place, assuming it would be American players looking to cross the border.

That's why I believe we have seen the likes of James Wilder Jr. in the CFL. COVID isn't magically disappearing by the start of next season.
