I can't see him in the league next year. After making 550k the last couple of years, nobody will pay him more than 125 to COMPETE for a job and I think he would say "thanks, but no thanks" to that.

On top of that, if I read it correctly elsewhere, he is also due to receive a $300K roster bonus next February. No team is going to want to pay him that after the season he has had, especially with his age and injuries.

I'm thinking Reilly might be cut loose in BC too, given the team's lack of success with him at the helm. It could be an interesing off season for experienced FA QBs with a lot of mileage: Harris, Reilly, Nichols. And then maybe Masoli, Arbuckle, and Vernon Adams Jr.

I like Reilly, but honestly I think it’s time for the league to move on from these older QB’s that make way more money than they are doing worth. I still would like to see the league cap individual salaries in the 7% neighborhood of the overall cap. 750k for a QB is ridiculous with a 5.3M cap. So glad BLM didn’t accept Popp’s offer in 2019.

I like this idea too. Then raise the minimum a bit and let the salaries sort themselves out between that top at ~350,000 and the minimum at, say, ~75,000.

Spreading the money around would also help upgrade CFL rosters overall and improve the level of play.

There seem to be rumblings about Harris not being a great teammate. I do find it interesting that two former teammates - Antoine Pruneau and Sewell - have publically criticized Harris over the past couple of years.
