    This is what he said.
Its once-loyal fan base of ‘Red Army’ season ticketholders has dropped to 200 from 800 in recent years, Leiweke said.
Red Army season ticketholders. Is he referring to the Red Patch Boys or what ever they are called and not season ticket holders in general? But on a more serious note, I found his comments about NFL in Toronto worrisome. This isn't over people.

It's not a supporters group I know of.

It's possible he accidentally called the Red Patch Boys the "Red Army".

That is the only thing that makes sense to me. Maybe he made a mistake when referring to the "Red Patch Boys".

They may announce 15k, but they are not getting anywhere near this total in the stands. A lot of games, there is less then 10,000 .thisis typical of MLSE and Rogers for that matter being able to control their message to the media. Even Garth Wheeler who is a big support of TFC, talks about the 200 season ticket holders. If he thought there was a mistake made by the CEO of MLSE, I would think he would be all over it to clarify. TFC has had TV ratings as low as 15,000 people watching, I will try to find the TV # ratings. A team that has TV rating this low, then I don't have trouble believing the 200 number

I believe that Leiweke was speaking about the RED Patch Boys, something seems way too off for them to only have 200 season ticket holder or accounts. So I appologize to any TFC fans or anyone else affected by my posts, as clearly my bias against TFC lead me to post what I read/heard as opposed to actually thinking about it and correcting it.

While TFC is clearly starting to have some major issues and are also "Rudging the attendance numbers", there is no way it has gotten that bad yet.

I've been talking to a few people about this and that is the consensus. It appears Leiweke is referring to the Red Patch Boys and their paid membership not actual season ticket holder numbers. Like the FOA the RPB charge a membership fee to join their group. I don't know how many of those 800 RPB were season ticket holders. I'm not a member of the RPB so I have never paid for membership just like the FOA, I don't see any real benefit to either.

Maybe some of the RPB saw no value in a membership that gave them special access to a forum, a membership card and a Dog Tag.

It's possible and yet they are still season ticket holders just not members of RPB anymore. I think ArgoRavi's assessment of season ticket holder numbers is reasonable considering this is the first year since 2007 that they have gone on public sale. The waiting list no longer exists.

Yeah, I would tend to agree that "Red Army" represents Red Patch Boys although a clarification by Leiweke to that effect would be appreciated.

here in montreal we are supposedly at only 8.000 season tickets yet we are on course to average 18,000 a game in our second season. the season ticket renewal here has already started and are hoping to increase to 10,000.

It would be but I doubt we'll see a correction. Leiweke is new and only human so I will forgive him for his mistake.

TFC wins a home game! TFC wins a home game! TFC wins a home game! This was their first home win in a year and in dramatic fashion as they scored two goals in the final few minutes to defeat the Columbus Crew 2-1 at a very rainy BMO Field.

Just to clarify, it is TFC's first regular season win at BMO Field in just over a year. They beat Sporting KC at the Rogers Centre to start the season and they beat Montreal in the Canadian Championship at BMO Field in April. It was a dramatic ending with the heavens opening up and drenching the place. Glad I stuck it out until the end, but then again I always do.
