Argos Season Ticket Holder 2016-2021.
That chart tells you exactly how critical this game is. ;)
With so many changes the position groups aren't likely to have much cohesion, but it'll be fun to see how individual guys perform. Particularly Pipkin, whose play tomorrow will probably influence what the Argos do in the off-season.
Having five extra guys on the roster really adds to the pre-season vibe.

Mr. Sato!
No, no, no
Mr. Saito was Mr. Fuji's tag team partner in the WWWF in the early 80s. He was in on the brick throwing incident at the McDonald's with Ken Patera.
Sato was 1/2 of the Orient Express along with Pat Tanaka in 1990 WWF. They were managed by Mr. Fuji who threw salt in Marty Janetty's eyes at WM6. Gorilla Monsoon commented that the Rockers looked lethargic that night. The Orient Express had some awesome theme music.

I'm surprised to see Rogers on the game roster. By my reckoning, tomorrow would have been his final game on the six-game IL, so the team could have saved 43% of his salary against the cap by letting that play out. However, I would really like to have him in the Eastern Final and he probably needs a game under his belt.
We have likely done pretty well with other cap savings from the six-game IL this season. Guys who have spent at least the full six games on the six are Braverman, Brescacin, Cage (all 14 games), Calver, Cassar, Daniel, Ealy, Law, Nevis (two separate six-game stings), Noel, Ray, Reinhart and Woods (all 14 games). So that's 43% of the salary for 10 guys, 86% for Nevis and at least 86% (possibly 100%) for Cage and Woods.
Tomorrow is Campbell's fifth game on the six, Colquhoun's fourth, the third for McCoil and Nicastro, and the second for White. I don't know what happens to guys who can't serve all six games because their injury occurred with fewer than six games left in the season, but I have to assume there is some pro-rated cap relief for them.

Rogers hasn't played since, I believe, the road loss in Saskatchewan. He would've primarily played with Arbuckle as his QB. While I agree he needs a game under his belt, it would be ideal if he and MBT could get some game action together, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

Tomorrow's game will allow us to see what a number of young/new players will be capable of doing. It is somewhat akin to an exhibition game for next year. Of particular interest will be the new additions to the OL (especially Zamora at C), receivers Huff and Phillips and QB's Pipkin and McDonald. Will be an interesting game to watch, though I'm not sure we will necessarily win the game.
Rogers went on the one-game IL before Game 8, so he played four games with Arbuckle starting and three with MBT starting. It would definitely be great for him to develop some chemistry with MBT but it will have to happen in practice since MBT is unlikely to take a snap tomorrow. (I wonder who will hold for Sato.)
It's possible Rogers' single game on the one was either erroneously listed, or retroactively converted to Game 1 on the six, which means coming off IL tomorrow would still allow for six-14ths of his salary to be removed from the cap.

We have a 50-50 chance of winning, possibly enhanced by the fact that Edm is a dumpster fire this season. As I wrote earlier, this reminds me of 2012 when we sat tons of regulars and still defeated Hamilton 43-40. On the other hand, it could also be like 2004, when we sat tons of regulars and got destroyed at home by Mtl, 58-20. Didn't matter in either case since we won the Eastern Final (and Grey Cup) both years.

I'm actually really looking forward to this game. A good chance to see what we've got in our depth. Pipkin has earned a start for sure, and it's good to see Rogers back. No matter who plays or doesn't, the gap in time until the EDF seems like an eternity long, so it's not like starters would really be any more rusty than those who play tomorrow. They earned the rest after pulling out so many close victories, so I'll just use the time to familiarize myself better with the other playoff teams since I haven't watched many non-Argos games this season.
I'm really looking forward to tonight's game. Always good to see what the depth on the team looks like.
The only thing that worries me is what if Pipkin lights it up? I will love to see who comes out and demands he starts the Dec 5 final. Could be Rob Johnson/Doug Flutie all over again (except Pipkin doesn't strike me as a jerk like Rob Johnson).
It's us vs the rest of the country
Interesting that Arbuckle is not listed as a backup QB, but Prukop is on the Elks depth chart.

So far we've seen the strength of Pipkin with his running resulting in a TD and the question mark about his passing with an interception.
At the 7-6 score we definitely have examples of why this is a game with a lot of backups including on the Cornelius TD run.
Scarlett looking good at RB so far with 3 runs for 31 yards.
Sato's punting brutal so far.
Just finished teaching. What'd I miss?
I wonder what Ray said to that Elk. Musta been pretty nasty because I didn't see any contact.
Collins is a machine. What a vertical on that interception!
Coleman says "Ole!" and gives boatang the sack. Tell me he's not the answer at RT.
