I love how Steve Simmons dismissed the opinion piece as nonsense today on TSN 1050. I know Simmons takes the wrath of a lot of Argos fans, but I find him to always be fair even when he writes a piece many perceive to be negative. Cox OTOH is just an idiot.

His wife must have slept with an Argos player at some point during their marriage. Nothing else makes sense for him to constantly be on the attack.

There's still lots of good journalism out there but a lot of lazy journalism too. On CBC Toronto tonight, Greg Ross did a story on the MBT situation. In the middle of it, he did some interviews on the street to ostensibly show that nobody knows or cares about the game on Sunday and then interviewed Vijay the Argoholic from the Schulich Schools of Business who made valid points about the Argos' lack of appeal to new Canadians and how he feels like Toronto has moved beyond the Argos (I guess he is no longer an Argoholic?). Anyway, there was no mention of the expected full house on Sunday which shows that interest is not entirely dead in the Argos/CFL. Overall, it was a disappointing report.

Make sure Damien Cox doesn’t live in your head rent free. Apparently that is what he wants. Don’t give him what he wants.

I get this is the eastern final which brings out even the closet fans, but what harm is it to try? At the very least, it might make for more families to come out to games.
Agreed. 1PM or 4PM kickoffs on Saturday, Sunday or holidays.
