I can't see the vaccine requirement going away anytime soon. Jeremiah Masoli is another player with a big decision ahead of him.

Fortunately we also have Campbell, Nicastro, Allen and Blake under contract (as well as Churchill and Giffen), so we have a shot at building a line with cohesion. Now let's re-sign Richards, and get an o-line coach signed up to replace McAdoo (assuming he departs).
Looking at the transaction wire last night it looks like Richards has indeed re-signed

Great news; odd that it was on the same date as the other recent signings, but not announced then. But excellent news all around. If we can get Doxtator signed, our NAT depth on the line will be outstanding.

If it's true Masoli won't get vaccinated, that's presumably the end of his CFL career. Which would screw up my theory that he and MBT will be our two QBs in 2022.

With the Stampeders re-signing Maier and now inking former Penn State pivot Tommy Stevens, I'm starting a let's-poach-back-O'Connor movement. Not saying he is ready to be our starter, but I sure wouldn't mind him competing for the No. 2 job behind whomever we end up with at No. 1.

Well they did say they wanted him back last year but he felt Calgary was a better move for him. I would love to see him back here, but is there a better fit in his mind elsewhere?

I can't see the Redblacks signing O'Connor if they keep Hodges, Caleb Evans and even Taryn Christion. I think that the Redblacks will try to sign a veteran but who that could be I don't know.

As for Argos, I would definitely try to get O'Connor back. It is clear that they do need some younger blood to step in.

Love to see O'Connor back with the Argos; but i'll predict no CFL teams have any serious interest in him other than as a possible cheap 3rd stringer or an extra arm for TC. Real interest would mean a legit shot to compete for at least a #2 job, if not starter (see Ottawa - where he is from).

Be looking forward to see if any CFL team has any real, serious interest in Hec winning QB Tre Ford as well.

Why should the Argos should be interested in O'Connor?

Because he had (and likely still has, after a year with Dickenson et al) considerable development potential, and arguably more potential than our most recent No. 2 QB.

Call me crazy, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Nick Arbuckle back here in 2022. McAdoo didn't seem to endorse him as their starter for this coming season, and who knows if it was John Murphy that decided to get rid of him? I expect the new regime in Edmonton to release Arbuckle and it wouldn't shock me to see them take a shot at MBT after working with him this past season.

I agree this is possible, especially since Jones and co. seem to be signalling they are in the hunt for a QB. However, I think it's more likely Edm would try to trade Arbuckle than outright release him -- a (somewhat) experienced QB under contract is an asset with value.

I'm pretty sure Dinwiddie would still choose MBT over Arbuckle if given the option of either. But MBT has all the cards at this point as a pending FA. As I've said before, I'm concerned he might have soured on this org after they mucked up his prep for the EF.

I still think we might see a tag team of MBT and Masoli here this year. They are good buddies, and both guys have shown they can accept and work within a two-QB system. But that's only possible if Masoli gets vaccinated.

I'm concerned that he was passed by a rookie on the depth chart in Calgary and didn't get so much as a garbage time snap. And isn't one of the supposed advantages of U SPORTS QBs that they are already adapted to the CFL game and need less development?

The free agent market isn't exactly overflowing with young QBs, but I think I'd make an offer to Isaac Harker before O'Connor.
