Count Chockula hired as HC of USFL team ?

Damn - the Argos missed the boat on a fine chance at another GOB recycling job.

I was totally unaware that Andrus was the QBs coach for the U of Ottawa last season.

OV should then be proud of Andrus as a former CIS coach. I would suggest that Andrus is no longer a GOB given this CIS experience.

Not sure how a guy who only had one CFL job can be a "GOB". Besides which, most career coaches have a nomadic existence going from job to job. Andrus, for example, has worked at almost 20 different places, which includes high school, college and pro.

He's had a relatively successful coaching career. His 1 season in the CFL was not good, but I don't blame him for that. The Argos brass saw the success Montreal had under Trestman and tried to be a copy cat.

Correct; IMO he wasn't around the CFL long enough to become a card carrying GOB member; him getting CFL re-hired would be a step in the right GOB direction.

I'm stunned that a Canadian football program (college or professional) saw fit to hire Andrus.

Trestman's experience prior to coming to Montreal was way more significant than whatever Andrus might've done at the NFL level IMO.

Absolutely was, but Andrus was much younger and was successful with the Titans, part of the team that lost to the Rams in the Superbowl, 1 yard away from going to OT. My comparison was based on bringing in someone from the NFL.
