Don't think that was a late hit, either, but I'll take it.

Just like last week - Inman got some separation and would have probably had a big play there without a heroic effort by the safety.

That one wasn't really late (we're talking about a third of a second), but Ray was *planted*. I think that call was a bit more appropriate.

Wow, how often do you see Calvillo miss a wide open WR?

Am I correct in that I see Argo cheerleaders at the game?

The TSN guys didn't notice, but Inman's first down was HUGELY IMPORTANT.

I'm not a big fan of Spencer Watt, but that was a great play. He made the first tackler miss, pushed forward while the second tackler made contact, and killed some time.

That was a fumble! Game should be over. CFL officials strike again.

Kind of a boring second half, but we deserved the win, especially with that non-fumble call.

Even though we won the game, I am still incensed about Jake Ireland not reviewing that. What the heck was he doing? Was he asleep? What is the point of having replay if they are going to blow a simple call like that at a crucial time in the game?

Defence stepped up in crunch time.

The o-line really, really needs to improve -- awful all night, basically. Wayne Smith sat out much of the second half, replaced by Gagne-Marcoux. Hurt, or benched? We could soon see an import at tackle, which means sitting out Summers, I imagine. I think Joseph Cohen is missed a lot, so when he comes back some other import (Flemons?) will be sitting.

It clearly should have been a fumble, but I imagine the ruling might have been that because the whistle blew (far too early), the play could not be overturned. I can't think of any other reason.

WOW that second half SUCKED!!! My wife is sick of hearing me bitch but the second half offensive play calling was offensive. Just mish mashed crap. All of a sudden you start to give Boyd the ball when Montreal knows exactly whats going to happen.

Nice CFL for reviewing that OBVIOUS Calvillo fumble. His ass wasn't down and the ball came out. They shouldn't have even had the chance for a field goal attempt.

I agree with Wobbler as Ball looked great. Swayzie 'Muddy' Waters looked solid other than that one miss. When's the last time you saw a kicker nail to 50's in a game like nothing. Well Swayzie can!

I think all Owens play at receiver is taking away from his return game. I think we need to throw someone else back there the odd time.

It's a win and I'll take it. I really thought we'd piss this away. The D deserves a ton of credit.

You may be right, Paul, although I remember Ricky Williams fumbling in the '06 EF and the whistle going before the ball was recovered and the replay officials awarded Montreal with the ball in that game which IMO was the turning point of that game.

Owens is starting to become a complete player, Waters looks like he could solve Argos kicking problems, and Watt showed some improvement but needs to learn to make sure he has the first down made when he catches the ball near the end of the game. That gave Calvillo another chance as time was running out. Giving Calvillo extra chances is usually a death sentence. However, our defence came through once again with a solid performance and a gritty stand at the end.

The defence won the game in the second half. Do we have the best defence in the east? The offence did struggle in the second half which was disappointing but good teams find ways to win and I think that we have a good team this year that can be legitimate Grey Cup contenders. Tonight's game was a "statement game" IMO. Waters did kick very well. He didn't miss that 46 yarder by much and made the two 50 yarders. He punted fairly well also.
