Montreal Carabin second year QB Jonathan Senecal was named U Sports Player of the Week last week while going 26/30 for 397 yards with 4 TD passes in a 43-11 win over McGill. It will be interesting to see if the CFL takes any interest in drafting him as he develops over the next couple of years.

This is Senecal's 3rd season as the Carabins QB, jerry. He could maybe declare for the CFL draft by next year (if the lost 2020 season could somehow count, plus I believe he was previously recruited and with (?) a US colllege ball team) - but likely he plays his 4th year as a starter with the Carabins and then would be CFL draft eligible in 2025 ?

And if CFL teams totally ignored an outstanding passer and Vanier winner in Adam Sinagra (Dinos) a few years back, plus totally snubbed Mike O'Connor (and some other Canadian QBs who could have been competing in CFL TCs) just this season, I really doubt there is any change on the horizon on this file. We shall see. Desjardins (Laval), Hilock (Western), Fagnan (StFX) are 3 other outstanding U Sports QBs who could get CFL consideration around the same time as Senecal. They will likely all go to the CFL's "intern" QB "effort".

When Kai Gray, who had a pick six TD, was interviewed at halftime of the Elks vs BC game, he was asked what had changed the attitude on the Elks who for the first half of the season seemed to give up when things went wrong. He did not give one of the the typical pat answers, such as the players got together, or the coaching changed, but said straight out it was the energy that Tre Ford brought to every game that inspired the other players. By implication the players were not getting that from Cornelius. And once again, although the Elks with Ford at QB lost to a better team they did not give up when behind.
