American WR Damion Jeanpiere, American WR Jamari Hester, American WR Darece Roberson,

Of the 3 above American Wr's released I see Ottawa, Edmonton or Montreal picking them up...

My guess is injured/Soon to be cut list. They always keep guys around that get cut before the first regular season game. Might add another team's cut player and then release someone off their own roster.

    My predictions were terrible.

We won't see the full picture until we see who's on the injured list and who's active for week 2.

I'm most surprised (and disappointed) that Tracy was cut as I think he would have been a tremendous leader (and a guy who like Banks would really love to stick it to Hamilton). Interesting that Leake is on PR -- guess he likely won't be returning kicks in Game 1 (altho active/practice rosters are subject to a lot of change b/w now and then).

I think it's possible we haven't seen the last of Tracey. He lives in the city, and it wouldn't surprise me if they told him to stay in shape for a possible call back. My guess is they wanted to give Shane Ray every opportunity to be the guy they think he is, but if he gets hurt again, it might be it for him.

Martez Ivey and Jalen Collins traded to EDM for a draft pick. Finding value in players they would have likely cut.

Tracy would be a midseason addition if Ray falters due to injury and his track track record with injuries is well known.

I do believe Tracy lives in Toronto with his newborn child and his partner; the current CP24 reporter - Kayla Williams

Surprised by the trade of Collins (and don't like it) and was also surprised by the release of D'Angelo Amos and Adrian Tracy.

For the record: of the predictions I posted, I got 52 right, 29 wrong and 13 are TBD since the injured list is not yet out and we are waiting to find out what happens with Edwards. So 55% accuracy (52/94) at this point, but that will likely go up a bit once we find out who ends up on the injured list. Only Nicastro seems certain to end up on that list.

The roster shows 61, and has to get down to 46 by next week. There are three PR spots still available, so potentially a dozen guys will end up on IR.

That really isn't a bad job of predicting Paul. So difficult to go by what you are hearing and reading. If you are not at camp every day, almost impossible to get a feel for these things.

How does M. Ambles make another CFL roster after dropping umpteen passes with Calgary ??? Ricky Collins was 10x the receiver talent . Is Murphy still around suggesting recycling American players he knows from other CFL teams ?

Ambles looked very good to me in last week's game.

Ok - maybe he puts it together to be a solid receiver all of a sudden; if he is taking reps at receiver from either of Gittens or Brescacin though = something very wrong with that picture IMO.

I totally agree, I assume coaching favorites has something to do with Ricky Collins not being here, thought he was very good on this team. Is Brescacin going to play this year?

It is noteworthy that Ricky Collins has not been signed by another club.

Brescacin has been injured in camp again. Tough to get on the field when you can not stay healthy. I agree he is better than Ambles who put up decent numbers last year but was inconsistent at best. I was not big on his signing and if they choose to go American there, I would prefer to see what Cam Phillips or Isaiah Wright can offer.

That means zero to me - I've seen him play plenty in the CFL and as recently as last season; way too many examples from CFL (or other sports' ) past of teams and leagues being dismissive of certain players (and meanwhile a proven stiff like Dom Davis rates chance after chance after chance as a CFL QB): like with Colin Kapernick, or Canadian QBs in general by GOBs. Maybe if Collins was a known locker room cancer, criminal or demanding huge coin.

There are many possible reasons Collins has not signed with any team, and I would suggest one of the most likely is that he has a higher sense of his value than teams do. Probably any team would sign him for $X, but if he believes he is worth $X+Y or $Xx2, it becomes an iffier proposition. For all we know, he might think he deserves Duke Williams money, and teams might think he deserves Markeith Ambles money.

Collins was ready to retire prior to the 2021 season so he may have already made the decision that he is okay walking away from the game. Also, he appeared to have knee problems for the entirety of last season so I wonder if that is a factor in his not playing this year.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
