Zicarelli's earlier report that the suspension had been cut in half was unattributed to any source. Today he has a different version, with an actual source:

All-star LB Chris Edwards will not be with his teammates as he sits out a league-imposed suspension stemming from last fall’s East final.

It’s believed Edwards’ six-game suspension has been reduced to three, but Dinwiddie wouldn’t provide any details.

“I’m not sure, but it won’t be six,’’ he said.

I am pretty sure Dinwiddie knows how many games Edwards will sit out due to suspension. Have no idea why he would say he doesn’t know.

When and if it has been decided, it's the league's story to tell, not the Argos'.

Looking forward to watching the running game tonight and if that opens things up for MBT. Interesting to see how Montreal compensates for their feature back being hurt. East games should be good watch this year. Hope the Pandemic hasn't scared away too many fans. Also want to see how they use B. Banks....Lets Go ARRRGOS !!!!!

So my interest in the CFL has really dwindled the last few years and i am not following the team all that closely but watch the highlights and the occasional game. I saw an ad for opening night tonight so I will check that out since its to hot to go outside lol. Hows everyone feeling about MBT at QB again, i figured we would have moved on from him.

I am with you on MBT.
Been there bought that T Shirt.
Should have been a 2nd CFL Team starting with a Canadian QB for the season, Michael O'Connor.

He led the Argos to a first place finish last year and not far from a Grey Cup game appearance so I can't wait to see MBT's continued progression as a starting QB.

It mentally feels longer than usual since the Argos last played with all the crap that has been going on in the world. Great to see the season underway.

Horrendous throw by MBT into the end zone after nice march down the field. Argos lucky to get a FG out of it after it was ruled the ball was dropped.

Harris looks like he's playing with a chip (namely Winnipeg letting him go) on his shoulder, which is when he is at his best.

Another poor throw by MBT does result in an interception the second time. Hopefully, MBT starts throwing better.

Justice for Allen. I know a player needs to control their emotions better but he has every right to be pissed.

Ackie should’ve been tossed too then.

I only watched a few games but from what I saw it was more like they won in spite of him. Tonight is feeling a bit the same but it's still early.

MBT finally started getting right at the end of the half. Hopefully he'll continue with this form of MBT.

Adams was terrible. Trevor Harris generally looked good but had good passes dropped or nullified by penalties, until his throw as the end of the half missed and gave the Argos a free FG.

As often happens with MBT, it often takes him about a half to get fully going, but he now seems to be in the groove as he leads the Argos to their first TD.
