Argos award winners announced

The Argonauts team award winners were announced today, and they are:

• Player: McLeod Bethel-Thompson
• Defensive: Wynton McManis*
• Canadian: Kurleigh Gittens Jr.
• Offensive lineman: Dejon Allen
• Special teams: Daniel Adeboboye
• Rookie: Gregor MacKellar

Kurleigh Gittens Jr should be the east nominee for Canadian while MBT has a decent shot at being named East MOP.

I think Lewis will be East nominee for MOP, Gittens for Cdn, McManis for Defensive, Small for Rookie and Specials, and Revenberg for OL.

Yeah, I can see Eugene Lewis getting the East nod. Either way, I don't think that he or MBT beats out Collaros.

I would have selected Adedeboye as top rookie. He has been great on ST’s and IMO made a bigger impact than MacKellar.

Good case can be made for "Ben" Adeboboye, but tough to argue with an o-lineman who starts most of the season as a rookie, especially out of the Atlantic conference.

I genuinely feel bad when I misspell someone’s name. I don’t care if I misspell words, but a name is something I should get right.

Shawn Lemon getting Calgary's D POY over Judge is a total joke IMO; maybe the need to reward older vet players or to reserve a top D player for imports and let the National settle for top Canadian ? And no way in hell he should win over Mauldin from the East either.
