TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
Before he started crapping on others why didn't he clean his own bedroom. Why didn't he start with the Argos' President and their perennial ineptitude. Oh, wait, they don't have a President.
Apparently the Argos had some team initiatives in the community and at least a little positive news. Did anyone from the organization post it here or even bother to inform those of us who have been posting and calling them out on their lack of initiative. Nooooo! MBT, clean up your own room before you want to fix the world.
Unfortunately, the CFL has been next to irrelevent in Canada's largest markets. That is and has been it's Achilles heal for the past 30 years, certainly since MLB and then NBA came to Canada. It looks like it that is finally changing in B.C., which means it's possible it can happen in Montreal and Toronto as well. What MBT says that is 100% true is the athleticism and passion of CFL players. They deserve respect and recognition.
MBT is bang on. And before anyone slags our Mr. Clemons, he is clearly hamstrung by ownership. Keep in mind that he is the GM so is responsible for the football ops not the business side. That is entrusted to Bill Manning who is a part-timer at best let's be honest.
If the CFL is serious about growing the game and connecting with more people then they should tie the can to Ambrosie and name you guessed it, Michael Clemons as commissioner. There isn't anyone else out there with his combined skill set, business acumen and visibility. Then again, this comes down to the ownership groups being willing to do this.
Kudos to MBT for having the guts to speak the truth.

MBT is spot-on. For example, how is the CFL Player Awards not broadcast live on one of TSN's five channels? Through the 1980s and 1990s, these awards were televised live first on Global, then on CBC, and, finally, on TSN when they only had one channel. TSN also broadcast the Coach of the Year banquet then held annually in Edmonton in the early 1990s. I see lots of promotion for the World Cup of Soccer in Qatar but I am not seeing enough promotion of this year's Grey Cup, in general, on Bell's TV properties.

To the surprise of few, division semis and finals are moving to Saturday effective next season:

Which can only lead to speculation on the long-term future of the Grey Cup as a Sunday game.
We also got Nathan Rourke news this week:

I thought he'd wait a year so that he could head into offseason workouts healthy/healthier (I was wrong!). Good luck to him.
