2023 Schedule

While having FieldTurf may enable more availability of dates, natural grass may be a selling point to attract players in free agency since it is the only field to have it in the league. Unfortunately, the truth over schedule making will never be known to the public but I have a feeling that there is a lassez-faire attitude from upper Argos management when it comes to many aspects of the team i.e. the schedule, merchandise etc.

Its official. The 2023 TDA game has been awarded once again to the Toronto Argonauts on July 29 with an AFTERNOON kickoff at 4 pm. Supplying the opposition will be the Saskatchewan Rough Riders.

The venue for the game will be at St Marys University in Halifax N.S.

Perhaps the CFL should put this game on hiatus considering the potential Atlantic Schooner ownership group didn’t bother to participate in last years game due to the fact they don’t have anything concrete in place to actually move forward with this franchise.

Argos would still be looking to play this game with or without a potential team out east. Apparently it was there most profitable regular season home game in 2022. I have no issue with the Argos playing a home game like this. Until their attendance improves, we should expect one of these every year.

Schedule is much better.


Just wish we had a home game against the Riders or the Bombers. There is usually thousands of additional people at any CFL stadium when they play. Think every team should have a least one home game with one of these teams. Maybe they could do one trip out east per year. it likely costs less than flying to BC multiple times.

if we could have played one of these teams on a Friday or Saturday. Likely would have been our biggest crowd.

Some of the scheduling decisions are just brainless. I'm not even that mad about us losing a home game to Atlantic Canada again.
I need to fact check things but we may be the first team in CFL history to have both a bye during the first week of the season and to not have a home Grey-Cup "rematch" with Winnipeg. Such massive opportunities to market the league gone to waste and I can't imagine any amount the league claims they're saving in travel costs is worth it. Penny-wise and pound-foolish.
