This probably warrants its own thread, but KGJ just re-signed for three years. Huge, fantastic news.

Here is the release from the team. This news is absolutely awesome and wonderful on a miserably cold Friday afternoon in February.

18 Time World Champions
Yeeeeeehhhawwww!
So glad to hear they've re-signed him!!!
Nice!!! Love the long term commitment.
Over 200G’s a year for 3 years makes him one of the highest paid receivers. Worth it, but as I feared, money is going to become very tight, very quick for the Argos. Too many vets deserve raises.
JGD is probably gone, and so (sadly) is Brescacin. I would not be surprised to see the Argos also letting the following guys walk: Ambles, Blake, Edwards, Lawrence, Ray and Rogers. Hopefully we can re-sign Ouellette and Harris, but the latter is unlikely. Banks is already gone. And MBT likely won't be here for the full season, if at all. So lots of potential salary savings to be found in the usual churn of free agency.

Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
I suspect the above mentioned players will not be re-signed with the possible exception of Ambles and Blake. Ambles is 31 and though he had a good year in 2022, he would probably be seen as a 3rd receiver for a team and not likely to be offered as much as last year's contract. It is possible that he would accept a lower contract if offered by the Argos.
Blake is 37 and is a home town boy with family here. He can play any position on the OL and did so, very well last year. He also may accept a lower contract offer to play one more year in his home town. Both could be "bargain" players with excellent experience but help with the cap situation. Just a thought.
