Don’t kid yourself, Hamilton will iron out a lot of their issues.
The Argos are playing their first game of the season with a new QB, I suspect they may have some hiccups themselves.
This will be a close game.

I hope you're right... but you've a lot more confidence in how prepared and in form we'll be than I do.

This is such a trap for us as a first game because these head-to-heads with the Tabbies will likely decide the East.

Poor Bo Levi’s been trying unsuccessfully to iron out his issues for the last 3 seasons. His arm was so clearly never the same after the shoulder operations. Does anyone see him bringing top-level championship-calibre play this year? Honestly, I’d be more worried if Dane Evans was starting.

Meanwhile the Argonauts have had an extra week to settle into and fine-tune their schemes and personnel. Hamilton has absolutely no idea what we’re gonna throw at them, while we’ve had a good look at their crappy sides. Plus with the extra week there’s all that extra pent-up energy, our guys should come out really flying.

Two areas of concern: 1. Hamilton's poor performance last week could cause overconfidence. 2. The Argos have not always come flying out of the gate when they had a Week 1 bye. In fact, I believe that was what they had the year Hamilton smoked us 64-14 at BMO.

You beat me to that one Paul. Everyone (including myself) thought that James Franklin was going to take the team to high performance levels. I don’t expect the same to happen with Kelly, but we never really know. Having said that, I think the overall team surrounding Kelly + a coach that actually believes in him will not allow similar results. Not to mention that they needed a missed 19 yard FG to win last year after having a week 1 bye.

Argos games versus the Tiger-Cats never seem to go the way they're supposed to, or at least when Argos supposedly have the advantage. The Labour Day game last year seems to have been an exception to that rule.

Ambles, Nield and Muamba have not practiced this week, so I am guessing they will be unavailable. Ambles is a big loss. He does so much to open things up for the other receivers, and does not mind blocking down field. Also seemed in sync with Kelly in the pre season. The depth a LB has me less concerned about Muamba possibly not playing. Williams is the real deal.
