With Tannenbaum selling his shares of MLSE to the teachers pension plan for $8 billion not sure if this will affect the Argos or not and if the teachers will want to own the team?

Should not have any effect... The way MLSE operates is all parties need to say YES at the board table for something to happen. So as long as Bell Media see's a value in owning the Toronto Argonauts that team is not going anywhere. I think what you will see happen is Bell and Rogers split the % Larry is putting up. Eventually Bell and Rogers will own 50/50 I am guessing.
I don't believe he is selling all his shares, and it is to OMERS not Teachers.
GO ARGOS!!!
It's us vs the rest of the country
$8 billion is the entire estimated value of MLSE, not Larry's 25%. He is reportedly only selling some of his shares.
Bell and Rogers already own over 50% combined of MLSE and are contractually obligated to vote the same at board meetings, so buying more shares doesn't really benefit them.
Ditch TFC!
