TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
I am having some people over here in North Carolina to watch their first ever CFL game! I know they will like it.
As far as the game itself, I am very confident that we will stay undefeated. Montreal is never easy to play at home, but again I feel good about it.
Prediction: 34-17 Argos.

I am going to the game too. Looks like a horrible weekend though... rain from Thursday on. At least we won't be freezing, as has been the case the past 4 or 5 years. Nice to have two summer games there.
I went to the Argos-Alouettes game in October, 2022, at Molson Stadium and you couldn't ask for better weather for that time of year in Montreal. It was sunny and in the double digits (might have even pushed 20 C).
The weather does look unsettled for this Friday's game, though I had seen on the Weather Network that it is supposed be OK by game time.

Argos really should have no problem in this game. I have complained about scheduling this season giving teams a short week playing teams coming off a bye. Happened to Hamilton against Montreal, and to Edmonton each of the last 2 weeks. Montreal gets the short end of the stick this week having 5 days between games + a cross country flight to play the Argos coming off a bye.

GO Argos--I'M HEADING DOWN FOR SEPT GAME WITH FULL ARGO GEAR ON---STANDINGS SHOULD BE INTERESTING BY THEN. ANYONE KNOW OF GOOD PREGAME FUN/BAR/TAILGATE?
Depth chart is out. No real changes other than Stiggers being listed as starter ahead of McFadden on D and Ciraco starting at C with Nicastro at RG on O.

Argos had a bye week to solve its short yardage QB situation and decided against it. Hope Kelly is used in short yardage, or maybe Scott is given an opportunity. I don’t think Dukes is the guy.
There is no clarity around the rules. I assume that McFadden will in fact play after the first snap, but if Metchie happened to get hurt they would be able to use one of the American DBs at safety and Stiggers could slide in at CB for 20ish plays. The d-line also seems to have Flo as a designated American which I guess means he can replace Smith on occasion (and of course he can rotate with Costigan at any time). Based on how the Argos have deployed their personnel to date, I expect either Smith or Knight (and sometimes both) will be in the game at any given time.
